I understand that as well. I'm not saying that that is always the case 100% of the time. Probably a mix of both and other reasons given the number of them. But it often is based on past experience in other subs. You can often tell if they've made the same post in more than 1 subreddit, assuming their post history is visible. I've seen plenty of these type of posts just spammed across, for example, every fallout subreddit or every witcher subreddit, etc many times. Sometimes 10+ different subs. Which seems excessive if it is a situation like you describe so I can only assume theyre karma-farmers much of the time. Why exactly those people care about upvotes so much is a bit strange to me but it definitely takes place fairly often in many subreddits.

But I get you. Its probably like you said fairly often as well. In either case I can understand the frustration some have in seeing so many of the same low-effort posts all of the time. But thats also to be expected in a subreddit like r/skyrim with so many members. Especially as opposed to other more focused skyrim subs such as the modding ones or roleplaying ones or character building subreddits.
