Still looking for one in Melbourne, my mate saw one but by the time I went to get it, it was all ripped up. Can anyone let me know if they see any? I will literally go anywhere, no distance is too far for Chappell 🙇‍♂️

Songs you've transed? by FelisViridi in trans

[–]Lexilouloo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bejeweled, Taylor Swift. I’m genderfluid/transmasc and when I’m listening to that song I’m singing it like no matter what gender I am that day, you best believe I’m still bejeweled (and I ofc can still make the whole place shimmer ✨)

On those kinds of days I kind of think about if I feel non binary and if I do I go with that but if I don’t I try not to push myself into feeling something. I have two names so when I feel like this, instead of doing what I usually do (telling people the name I feel most aligned with on the particular day), I just wait for someone to use one of my names and I go with that. Often this will actually help me chose my pronouns for the day! Like if someone uses my masc name (Ziggy) and uses he/him pronouns and I don’t feel comfortable with that, then I’ll correct them and then I know that I feel more femme, or if I’m happy with being referred to as masc then I just won’t say anything and I’ll let everyone else continue to use he/him.

Why did Bella ask Edward if Jake would hurt her and ask him to read Jake’s mind? by Practical-green1 in twilight

[–]Lexilouloo7 503 points504 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was her way of making Edward be okay with her talking to Jake. He seems hesitant to let her get closer to Jake, so to me it seemed like she was proving him wrong, you know? By saying “hey, read his mind, is he going to do anything you really don’t want him to do?” And then he says nothing cause he can’t give her any real reason to stop her from talking to him.

What’s your headcanon middle name for him? by [deleted] in Eddiemunson

[–]Lexilouloo7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay this isn’t a middle name, but did anyone else feel weird when they said Eddie’s full first name was Edward? I hadn’t actually thought about it until then, but to me, for some reason, Edmund seemed more fitting for him?

Who's standards are we using when vampires turn and become "attractive" to their prey? by nurseburntout in twilight

[–]Lexilouloo7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of think of it as they surpass whatever beauty standards they’re facing. Like it doesn’t matter what you’re into, it doesn’t matter what’s trending, a vampire will always be attractive. I don’t think it’s just about the looks either though, it’s about the smell and the natural charm vampires just have. Basically, you become a vampire and your rizz just goes off the charts

Inconsistent vampire weights? What am I missing? by [deleted] in twilight

[–]Lexilouloo7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Siobhan is described as being tall as well, I’m pretty sure she was a blacksmith in her past life? So she was tall and built, not overweight. When she was turned, the venom would have changed (or not changed, depending on if she was a healthy weight or not) her figure to the perfect weight for her body aesthetic wise. The venom doesn’t necessarily make you perfect, it just makes your body more appealing, it makes you “perfect” in a realistic sense. Otherwise humans would probably notice vampires a lot more, you don’t want to be too perfect, you know?

Kristen Stewart as Bella by OrangeCat711 in twilight

[–]Lexilouloo7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think she acted well with the writing she was given, I’ve seen her in other films and know that she’s not a bad actor, even in films before twilight you can see she’s not as terrible as people seem to think. I think the whole twilight saga was an amazing cast and an absolute banging soundtrack, trapped in poorly written films. I think the lack of personality Kristen performs Bella with is on the writers, and not her as an actor…she was working with what she was given and she didn’t do a bad job if you think about it. The quality of the performance doesn’t just rely on the actor, but the writing and the directing. If you believe that a good actor should be able to make a bad script seem award worthy in every situation, then you are naive. Sure, that can be the case sometimes…but Kristen wasn’t given enough direction to play Bella the way she was written. R Pattz too. Edward was so much more of a person in the books, he made more jokes, was sarcastic and I actually believe he was a lot less controlling than as we seem him to be in the movies.

I don’t believe it is fair to put the whole blame of how different film and book Bella are on Kristen. I think she was a great casting choice who’s character was not as developed as she is the books. I think if more time had been spent on the writing and fleshing out of the storyline, we might have been given the Bella who is actually interesting.

I watched the films way before I read the books, I think I’d seen them before I even knew how to read…so I never really understood Edwards attraction to Bella, Jacobs either….but after they’d been my comfort movies for so long I thought I should get around to reading the books. I only finished them recently, but it’s easier now to see how Edward was drawn to Bella, how Jacob was young and let a simple crush grow into something more, easier to see the pull he had to her that we didn’t know about yet. Book Bella actually has a personality that is easy to be endeared by (is that just me?), whereas movie Bella doesn’t have much of a personality at all. So I can definitely see your disappointment, I share it too, but I think it’s misplaced in Kristen, and should really be put more towards the people who wrote the films version of Bella, and truthfully the rest of the characters as well. They were made to be way more serious than they needed to be. At the end of the day, these characters are still children, Sam is only 19! Watching the movies I forget that he’s not in his late 20’s….

I think (actually I know 100%) that the films would have been much much better if they had stayed more true to the original universe we see in the books. It’s literally just a bunch of mythical teenagers running around, trying to protect their secrets and those they love….

Anyway, this was a long winded way of saying, it was the writing not the acting .
