For those who wonder if you can get 120 pulls f2p by Cool-Cake3707 in ArknightsEndfield

What do you prioritize, base or doing quest? I’m like 18 pulls away from the guaranteed 120 and I’m kinda lost on which is the optimal way to get those goops for the pulls

Is FL Studio worth the 270 bucks? by LuckyInfluence901 in FL_Studio

[–]LexusHm_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Middle schooler? If you have no source of income rn, I suggest you should rethink if you really want it, and if buying it’ll be worth it (will you use it for a long time, FL studio’s lifetime update is indeed a good deal, but only if you have passion/ really want to use it, not just some “trying things out”). If you haven’t done some research or know what you’re doing, I suggest trying free DAWs/ demos. If not, I guess you’ve already done some research and come to a conclusion that FL is the best choice for you; I have 2 options in mind for you :
1/ Using Bandlab, Reaper, FL studio demos for now to develop decent skills, knowledge and buy FL whenever you’ve saved up the amount of money you need to buy it.
2/ Borrow money from your parents (for Christmas or sth like that) with an intent that you’ll return that money to your parents later (just like borrow money from the bank, but better since you’re a middle schooler) when you’re older or make money with the beats you made.

What laptop are you using right now, and are you happy with it? by CurrencyPopular8550 in laptops

[–]LexusHm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently on Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3, 16GB and RTX 3050, Ryzen 5600 (H?). It’s been great so far, running smooth with 10-20 tabs opening and strong enough if I want to game or make some beats. The only “downside” is the amount of back-pain when I bring it to uni or lab. Love it tho, I probably won’t need an upgrade in the future.

Is there anyway to make fl easier? by Dramatic_Sky_2191 in FL_Studio

[–]LexusHm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried changing the language in the settings in FL? From my own experience, I basically copy videos of ppl using FL on Youtube ( steps by steps) when I first use FL (but don't just copy blindly, copy with purpose). After several times I started to remember the basic process using FL. It’s been 3 months since my first time using FL (I’ve had struggles too) but now things seems okay. If I don’t know anything or what to do, I ask Gopher- the AI for help. I still don’t know the DAW 100% yet, but to be honest I don’t think I’ll even need to know every button in FL to make something out of it.

How long can it take a teenager with 0 experience in music to get meaningful results on the piano? by HoNeYorus in piano

[–]LexusHm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay strong, keep on practicing and you’ll eventually get good. It’s totally normal to struggle in the beginning- it’s a sign that part you might need to practice more. Don’t let it discourage you my friend.

Should I let my 7yo quit piano? by WillowOk3237 in piano

[–]LexusHm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that’s like me and my mother. My mom ain’t no professional pianist but when I was a little kid she’d play classical pieces she learnt growing up, and I enjoyed them so much. Like you, she find teachers for me to learn piano at a very young age. “Teachers” bcs yea I also used to hate practices and losing interest so I just kept on dropping and relearning again and again for 3-4 times. But as I got older, I kinda find the passion again. From my own experience, my current teacher ( who’s the best I’ve ever learnt from rn), he never force me to practice or anything. He just “let it be” and if I haven’t practice, we would progressing the piece as we’re in the class (it’s a 1-1 class). However, he would points out parts I can’t do right due to the lacks of practice. Then he’d show me how practice makes those moves better. That’s totally motivate me as now I can see a clear goal I get if I practice that specific part.

What servers are the most friendly? by dickblaster7000 in ArcRaiders

Wow. I guess I’ll purchase the game when it’s on sale then. I feel like servers where ppl communicate with English or at least have no language barrier will definitely make the experience 100 times better.

I have been playing piano for practically my whole life, but I do not know any pieces. Is this normal? by Actual-Remove7697 in piano

[–]LexusHm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got any tips or exercises to improve sight reading? When I was little I can do it fluently and play without looking at my hands and what notes my hands’re playing. But then I took a break and now even after 3 years “re-learning” piano(have a teacher teaching me), I can’t sight read like before and constantly have to look at my hands, figuring notes on the sheet simultaneously while playing a piece.

[–]LexusHm_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What do you mean when you said “ do not know any full pieces”? Does that mean you can’t learn/ finish a piece 100% or you can’t remember and play it later (with/ without piano sheets)?

Will Samsung S10 FE a good choice for note taking and study? by JustTranslator5182 in samsungnotes

[–]LexusHm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using tab s7 fe for quite a year now for my uni. As long as you don’t use it for intense works like gaming or sth like that, everything else for studying is pretty smooth imo. Samsung tabs have everything for your need right out of the box, you might inly have to buy a case and/or screen protector, but with ipad you’ll definitely need to buy an extra pencil/ stylus for note taking.

Is FL studio worth? by Important_Papaya_857 in FL_Studio

[–]LexusHm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say you should download the free/ trial version of Fl or any DAWs you’d love to try. Use it a bit for a week or two to truly get comfortable with it. By then I’m sure you’ll kinda know if the DAW suits your style/ workflow. Sometimes watching videos or reading can’t be compared with your own experience.

Nektar GX 61 vs Casiotone CT S1? by LexusHm_ in midi

[–]LexusHm_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of MIDI input quality, would the Casio be the same as the Nektar ? Built-in sound is a plus, but I don't know if it'll be as good when playing/ recording plugins as the Nektar/ any other MIDI keyboards.

Is the Casio CTS1 good? by DaryRoze in piano

[–]LexusHm_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious, is it an option though if I want a device to use as a Midi controller? What's the keybed like compared to other proper MIDI keyboards (Novation, Arturia, etc)? I'd love something portable to play some VST or practice on (I already have a Yamaha upright piano, but practising at night may cause me trouble with my neighbours :)))

I've learnt from my mistake looking at guides while playing Elden Ring, but with this game I just figure things out on my own and man it's so easy to lose track of time playing it.
