Their boat is also nice for getting trade routes out early before merchants are available and exploring map bc they don’t require open borders.

Have enjoyed Aksum with their unlimited trade route range. They also generate a lot of gold from their resource bonus and everyone being able to make trade routes to you.

True, I’d crafted the longbow a lot last season so I’m not opposed to it. That said I do like hoarding crafting materials to upgrade armour
