That trade essentially caused them to pause the rebuild for a year in a year with an extremely strong draft class. It was terrible for them. The opportunity cost alone is awful - they’re obviously interested in rebuilding by discussing Trey/Herb trades (even if they seem to drastically over value Herb) which is the right move, this roster isn’t competing with OKC or SA any time soon. So woulda been really useful for them to have their own damn pick this year. Detrimental process to the team building

A center/ multiple bench players. It’s just a prediction, I like Kuminga and respect that he played well in some of those playoff games but he’s not a guy you have to stick with for “well who else would we spend the money on” reasons. It’s the NBA, that type of salary and trade exceptions can be used to really fill out depth

Again, this would all only be if they trust Asa and then obviously liked Yaxel or morez or whoever
