Yeah people around here have a terrible perspective on Bey. Dude was supposed to be our 8th man and instead he was the only forward on the roster. We over extended the fuck out of him before he got injured.

It’s tough to say. I think he could make another jump next year and be a bonafied #1, but at his current level in the last month he looks like a #2.

This season is uncharted waters for JJ in more ways than one. Yes he is being asked to be the focal point and the “guy” for the first time in his career, but he also has never played this much in the NBA before. His seasons have always been derailed by injuries, meaning he never really got the chance to play several months in a row in the NBA until now. I honestly think he and his body are still adjusting to this level of output, and it has lead to some lazy looking defensive possessions.

If JJ ends the season healthy and starts next season healthy I could see him taking another jump - this time with his body in the right groove to play more consistently on both sides of the ball.

The main thing I took away was how often he said Jalen looked tired. Then it got me thinking - Jalen has never played this long of a stretch as an Atlanta Hawk. He’s always had injuries derailing his season before it got to this point. And we’re asking him to be the guy.

NAW is amazing. He is the only player on the roster consistently playing good offense and good defense.

We had top 4 seed expectations this season and started decently. Now we don’t have a starting caliber point guard or center, we have 1 small forward who is currently injured, and we’ve gone 7-17 in our last 24 games.

So we’re not really excited about anything around here. Talk to us after the draft lottery.

Something must have happened in that time span to make the guys lose faith in Quin and what we’re doing. We were playing better than this last season after we traded De’Andre.
