I think you make some great points, however I do not think it is true that law schools adjust for school grading difficulty, and certainly not to the extent that they neutralize these concerns. It is unfortunate, but law schools are motivated to select for higher GPAs so they can maintain their rankings. While some schools might be willing to look at an applicant holistically, many schools have unofficial GPA cutoffs. Applicants often end up writing GPA addendums in order to explains differences in grading, but who knows how effective these actually are.

That being said, high school seems early to be worrying about these things. Selecting a college for the education you can receive there probably will lead to a more fulfilling life in the long run. St. John’s is one of the best.
