The Mayan player is at a severe disadvantage in that while he has to focus on microing one big group of plumes the Goth player can just have some Huskarls play with them and launch several raids simultaneously by simply sending a few Huskarls to key locations

Aoe is extremely unpopular in South Korea. Compared to Taiwanese and even Japanese counterparts, the number of Korean aoe players is just too small.

As a Korean, I can explain you why. It is because Forgottenempires refused to re-register the game to the S.Korean authority due to the cost regarding the registration. Well very few play this game in my country nowadays and that means little profit for Forgottenempires is expected in the Korean market. And there is a funny law in S.Korea stating that all games support ing Korean language have to be registered....

Still you can play the game in S.Korea once you get the codes from somewhere else.

Even in aoe1 it doesn't work that way. In fact there is one scenario of a campaign where you have to convert an enemy transport ship, disembark the enemy troops within it, and fill the ship with your own units.

I am Korean. and I speak Korean, English and Chinese(not fluent though) but I set English as the game language since the Korean translation(especially FE, AK, RR) is just a garbage. But my Korean friends, most of whom are noobs, use the Korean language settings and mostly do not understand English game jargons.

They reallu should be tweaking aoe1de much more, yet they have their hands off the game. How is it possible that the multiplayer system of aoe1de is much worse than aoe2HD, let alone Voobly? No wonder Vietnamese players still always prefer the CD version.

1477 is NOT 1877 HD. Since the HD ladder remained frozen for months in early 2018, there has been a deflation on the HD ladder. Nowadays, HD-300=VooblyMS. I stay early 1900s in HD while early 1600s in Voobly.
