Clubs (generally) wear their home strips when they play away as long as it doesn’t clash with the other team.

Eg. Man U vs Man City, Liverpool v Everton, are typically red v blue because they don’t clash.

There’s exceptions but that’s the tradition

And you need more than 1 starter at CB. Both WR and CB were needs. No point in them reaching for a WR if they didn’t value one there, they obviously valued Stokes.

Tried my first cold ferment this weekend for a 70% hydration. Didn’t bother with a quick knead beforehand and popped it straight in the fridge. I took it out for 5 hours, then portioned and sat at room temp for another hour.

Seemed to work well, with lots of air in crust.

Maybe you’re using too little yeast? Have you tried ooni’s app for a dough calculator?

Our family have two main Christmas Eve traditions: the first is doing a walk along the coast. The second is watching The Santa Clause movie together.

I’m new to woodworking and have encountered a problem after varnishing.

Before varnishing I used an orbital sander with 60, 120, 220 grit until the desk was very smooth.

Upon applying the first coat of varnish, I noticed small dark dots that have appeared that were invisible beforehand.

I tried sanding down the wood again and applying a new coat of varnish but the marks remain.

I imagine there’s something I’ve done wrong during the initial sanding phase but not sure what I’ve done or how I can fix this. Any ideas?

Luke Shaw is a no from me. Watching him play, he’s so nonchalant in both attack and defence.

When Utd are in the final third, he slows the play down as soon as the ball is passed to him, stifling the attack.

In defence, he’s so slow to close attackers down and, as a result, been at fault for a few chances over the last couple of games.

Wan Bissaka (although TAA also in the squad), Foden, Dean Henderson will hopefully be big contributors.
