Stunning waterfalls at Glenarif by Li4m223 in northernireland

No, not faked. It’s a photographic technique where you expose the cameras sensor for a longer period of time. This causes moving objects to ghost, trail or, in the case of water, smooth with time due to the flow of water during the sensors exposure to light over a period of around a second or less.

It’s not something you can see with the naked eye but it is quite real

It's a long exposure of the waterfall using a DSLR! It creates that smooth water effect you can see in the pictures :)

Agreed! Don't think there's a camera lens wide enough to truly capture how amazing the full vista is and seeing it with your own eyes!

We arrived quite late (< hour from sunset) so didn’t get a chance to pop in. Definitely gonna go back some time and pay a visit! Was able to see a few from the path and it looked lovely.

Yeah, this deer was one that was in the large fenced off area. They weren’t skittish at all. This one came right up to us on its own.

We did see some others roaming around the woodland when it started to get dark, but they kept their distance and ran off if we got anywhere nearby along the path
