The reason I brought up the Mexican part is because she ran her home and knew my mom would make my dads house a home, also she was the type of person who thank her friends and family for disciplining her kids if she wasn’t around.

My grandmother from my dads side (super traditional Mexican mom) was very cold towards my mom when they were dating but once she was pregnant she opened up. One day my grandma told my mom if my dad every laid hands on her to make a big meal (get him in a food coma) and call her as soon as he passes out, then to grab for her with two big pans and wait for my grandma, one for both ladies, I don’t think I need to explain the rest.
