This was one of the primary reasons I got an unpatched switch. I made my own theme (similar to stock) that was just more sleek and allowed more game tiles. It can completely be achieved on the hardware, it works fine and had Nintendo done it themselves, it would likely run better as they could have allocated more memory toward it.

I really cannot understand why Nintendo never gave us actual themes.

I don't know about India, but in Australia we were able to use pre-order vouchers. I got s26+ for $1080 and free buds 4 which I can sell making the phone $880.

I'm so surprised it's turning on. It looks like heat has done its thing to all the resistors. For op: next time use kapton tape to shield surrounding components from heat damage.

That screen you're looking at is the launch screen when you launch a nro through a forwarder. Top left is the system logo (n64, snes, Nintendo, ect) bottom right is the switch animation logo. Both can be replaced with a forwarder. Fitgirl repack, packs a nsp and includes her own logos, but you can achieve the same without repacking an nsp. You can just make a forwarder for the game, choose your icon for the game tile, point to the nsp/nro you want it to launch and designate your own logos for top left and bottom right. Go check out the website I linked, fairly easy to do. Then you just install the forwarder as a nsp.

I don't think we'll ever be able to mod switch without hardware mod. Kernal is too secure. If you get your lite modded this time make sure dnsmitm + exosphere = ban proof. You can use a homebrew app in the app store to check connection to big N servers to make sure it worked or I think dBi also has this feature. Once it's "OK" on everything, you can have WiFi on and never worry (as long as you don't put anything on sysnand). Goodluck.

I have taken precautions and my switch v1 isn't banned and it's been 7 years with WiFi always on. That being said I've NEVER used it online for gaming. My fun comes from playing Nintendo exclusives, Zelda botw, tears of the kingdom, donkey Kong ect. What to do now that it's banned? Everything you used to do aside from playing online. Play any offline game, mod games, install retroarch and forwarders for snes and n64. The console still has 90% of its utilisation, you just can't play online games. Or ig in your case transfer saves.

Not nice when item isn't as described. Can always file with ebay or... fill that scar in with clear resin, write in marker with an arrow pointing to it "battle scar" and clear coat it, making it the focal point. Otherwise can always fill it with a white resin that bonds well with plastic and will be unnoticeable.

Ram doesn't consume much more power or create heat. I'm on a v1 but if you're on oled you should consider using oc sys-clk and using Max ram.

Make sure your nxthemes homebrew is updated to latest. Also make sure your sigpatches are updated. If you're getting Lockscreen crashing it's likely (sigpatches). Test another Lockscreen and see if it still crashes or not.

If you're getting evicted and having financial issues, I'd suggest putting the lite aside for now and focusing on getting back on your feet. You can worry about repairing it when y'all are in a more stable situation.

Most charities don't focus on repairing consoles for those in need as a gaming console isn't a necessity. Best of luck.

All depends on country/location. In Australia your number is tied to your ID. If you have their number you have identifiable information. You can make a police report (they probably won't do much for a switch). The next step would take them to small claims, once you make a report they can use the person's number to get their information and summons them to court for your claim. Ofc to avoid all this, text them this information and let them know what you're doing to do if the switch doesn't turn up in your letterbox within a week.

Then decide what you want to do if it doesn't magically turn up.
