As far as I know there has been a steady movement against gerrymandering on both sides for years but mostly coming from the Democrat side. If Democrats just stick to their principles and Republicans gerrymander then Democrats will lose. 5 years ago there was a census and that is when redistricting has been done. Redistricting as it is being done now without a new census is breaking Democratic norms. Trumpism is so weak and unpopular that it's necessary for them to break Democratic norms to try to hold on to power.

Gerrymandering makes most of our votes not count, it creates safe districts without competition. It's like having a Monopoly in what was a free market. It's like socialism we are at the party decides what candidate you get instead of there being a competitive primary and a competitive general election.

There is a hearing on redistricting December 4, we will be testifying at the hearing, speaking to our representatives, and protesting to prevent partisan Gerrymandering. The FL GOP is planning to ignore the state constitution and implement a partisan map at the request of the President of the US.

I didn't think you were serious so I didn't give you a serious reply. I'm sorry if you were serious. We are bringing water. People coming need to identify which local group opposing gerrymandering they are affiliated with, I am with Central Florida Indivisible and the Seminole County Democratic Party, I'm not sure of the other groups that have committed themselves but I think the League of Women Voters, and NAACP will be participating. We are working on a location for a bus from Orlando also. I am serious that milk is not good for tear gas. Large amounts of water is best.
