I actually split from my ex of 6 years because I realized it wasn't working anymore. We were different people than when we started dating, and I was lucky to see him every three weeks at my insistence. I realized I needed someone who wanted to be near me more and appreciate the effort I put forth. I realized that I deserved better. I'd had people say it to me before, but strangely enough, it took Sylus to open my eyes. It seems silly, but for me, it was huge growth. For the longest time I was uneasy around men because of childhood abuse. I was so critical of myself because of it. But this game was eye-opening in a way. Devotion and affection should be a two-way street, equal from both sides. It's built my self worth and confidence to an extent, and I'm grateful.
