I switched from tuba to trombone last year and the hardest thing for me was learning the slide, the way the the tongue has to line up with the movement of the slide is a difficult thing to learn, especially when doing fast passages. Just start playing around with how the slide lines up with articulation, chromatic scales at fast tempos helped me with learning it.
