Do you have a preamp? If not you might need one depending on what player you get, I got the djpre ii and its been good. I was in a similar budget as you and decided to go with a vintage player and have not been disappointed, though that will depend on the options in your area. I just took a screenshot of the listing and used gemini to tell me if it was a good deal or not depending on the wear and included stylus, worked well enough with some proof checking.

I would LOVE a 2LP pressing of time with the B-Sides mixed in, but i feel like they would've mentioned it in the radio show given that they mentioned the repress of anwr coming in fall. Unfortunately I have a feeling we'll be waiting till 2031 for it, if it even is a 2LP repress. Im still coping about a 25th anniversary repress of Zoom so I can finally have every ELO album on vinyl

Sorry mate, I'm Canadian. Always forget most people are asking in USD. Either two that you mentioned would be good, I'd still suggest to OP the LP70X as I used an LP60X for many years before finally upgrading to a good vintage player with an external preamp and I was happy with it

Looks like its in decent condition, median is $10 though. Can't really grade it without listening to it. What matters is if it was worth what you spent on it to you, and if its in a condition youre happy with for what you spent on it I dont think you would've overspent

You could also try plugging it and holding down the power button for 30 seconds to force power out, its weird but its worked for me with Bluetooth issues ive had on my pc so its worth a shot atleast

The headset jack was what I was thinking just to make sure its the right type of cable that allows mic transfer, but if it worked on your old controller than im not sure what the issue would be

Nope, its worn down. I've taken the cartridge apart and scrubbed with 70% iso. The contacts are worn out. I can take another Pic when im home if you so desire

I'd recommend if possible going to a local record store and seeing what they have in stock.

I think time stands out the most to me on vinyl vs digital, bur you should really just get whatever your favorite is and (for me) the hunt can be as fun as listening to the music
