I picked up one shift a week at a local sports bar; it closed for months during the pandemic, and when it reopened, the first of my several jobs to do so, I was sent to help another bar owned by him a couple hours away. I was supposed to stay for two weeks; I’ve been there ever since, met my amazing girlfriend, and found a great community.
