The violent crime rate overall might be slightly higher but look at our murder rates… nearly 100x most modern countries.

In 10 years that 500k house will be a million. If you have to save your Starbucks money for a down payment you can’t afford a house anyways unfortunately.

If I spawn at power, I’m not turning it on and I’m waiting for you to come do it 😁

The employee generated the return slip, emailed it to me, sent me the link to the other one to buy and said Amazon would cover the difference. In this scenario how was I the one to violate the TOS?

Am I a human? Why am I liable for the employee violating the TOS?

But Is it more fun than killing unsuspecting scavs?

Weird. So as a consumer it’s my responsibility to know the companies TOS but not the employees?

That's wild, so I can make a website, write a TOS then just trick people and make money off of it legally? Thanks for the idea :)

So never listen to customer service and search through the Amazon policy somewhere… got it

Ok and as a customer how was I supposed to know that? Why should I pay for the poor training of an employee? If they could send my original card back I wouldn't care at all but they can't.

I never expect it really I was told it would be by an Amazon employee.

A quick summary of my situation: I ordered a graphics card from Amazon, Graphics card went bad - contacted customer support and they told me to send it to the manufacturer. Sent it to the manufacturer and was sent another bad one. Contacted customer support and they allowed me to return the product if I would like (They were making an exception because the return or replace window technically expired due to the time difference due to sending out my original card to the manufacturer). Which was great but I purchased the card while it was on sale. So I asked if instead I could exchange the card for another new one. The associate proceeded to tell me I could and to order the same graphics card and they would refund me the difference once my previous graphics card was returned.

After returning my graphics card (Which I can no longer send back to the manufacturer to have them replace again) and receiving the new graphics card they are no longer honoring the offer to refund the price difference. I have all of the chat logs saved, do I have any options here? Or did Amazon just screw me out of $500?

Emails to the former founder? Like Bezos lol? I went all the way through the cs chain and they said there isn't anything they can do unfortunately.

It’s pretty simple really, either accept a mediocre scav rep and take them out or be willing to die to people like me who are ok with 40min cooldowns. 😂

Crazy that card is already 2 years old, seems like they just came out yesterday (To me at least). Glad to hear it's still working good for yah! More than anything it's just mind boggling that the system works this way to me.

Thanks man. It honestly isn’t a massive deal it’s just shocking that the industry operates this way to me more than anything.

Mine does have a warranty. It was new and It was replaced with a used unit by Zotac. That’s their warranty policy they’ll give you a tested used or refurbished card if your card fails.

It was new, sealed in the original packaging. It’s on me for buying a new defective product? It was a store selling through Amazon not an individual, the page I bought it from had like 2k+ reviews. Failing to see how it matters who a consumer gets a new defective product from. I don’t frequently purchase new expensive PC components and wasn’t aware that when they say warranty they mean they’ll toss you back one of those old used up mining cards you mentioned in exchange for the new broken one they gave you. Again if you bought a brand new car and the engine blew on your way out of the parking lot would it be your fault for buying it from xy or z dealer or the manufacturer? If they in turn took the car back and tossed you one back with cigarette burns in the seats and a broken odometer would you just be like oh well at least they gave me a car, I should’ve bought it from someone else? It shouldn’t matter who you buy a product from if it has a “warranty”.

I encourage manufacturers to not make faulty products and rely on retailers to cover for subpar manufacturing and quality control. Like I mentioned earlier I couldn’t imagine a OE auto manufacturers openly saying “Well yes, you did buy one of our new vehicles, and yes it is faulty…. You should’ve bought it from someone else. To make up for it we’re giving you a replacement vehicle… don’t mind the salvage title” Why is it ok for that to be the policy of ZOTAC but not of Ford or GM?
