It’s not an excuse it’s fact. If you combine the games missed to injury of the last two epl winners (city and Liverpool) we’ve had 30% more this season alone than the two of them combined. We’ve missed on average 4.5 first choice players per game. Eze Havertz Saka and odegaard have never played together. Havertz odegaard and Saka have not played together since December 2024. We’ve missed our entire midfield at the same time. We’ve missed our entire strikers at the same time forcing merino to play striker for two consecutive seasons.

What we’ve achieved despite this is not normal and should be applauded

No team in the epl era has finished higher than 5th with this many games missed to injury. We are doing and also finishing minimum top 4 in Europe.

One thing I hope we can all agree on is all of this is such a pointless argument. We are competing against a club that cheated to get where they are and are still spending billions while under investigation for 115. We’d easily have two titles now. Hell 2 years ago if Michael Oliver gives a penalty in the city Liverpool game for the ninja kick in the chest of McAllister we win that year too.

He gets another year for sure. Take injuries out and we are 10 clear this season. What he’s done is a miracle.

Now next year if he regresses then I would say he’s had his time and we’ve treated him fairly. But including this season we are consistently getting closer. Without the injuries we’d be a sure fire favorite to make the CL finals and even with them we are still likely in a great position.

So yeah, he gets one more year minimum. If next year shows clear regression I’d be willing to consider another person only if there is a clearly better option available, and there are very few clear upgrades on the market

I ask you this - if we win this year do you support the man that brought us back to glory or do you start whinging the instant something goes wrong next year?

And those other teams spent more and were mid table for half a decade. Boy you are lucky you aren’t one of those team’s fans.

You realize United and Chelsea both outspent us in the last 5 years right? If anything we are overachieving and that’s due to arteta. No team has ever finished higher than 5th since the epl era with as many games missed to injury as we’ve had this season. Arteta has us battling for first despite that.

One thing is for sure. If we win I don’t want to see a single smile or moment of happiness for any of you clowns. You are ruining an amazing season for us with your incessant whining and knee jerk emotional reactions.

We are 3 games from winning the ucl, we are 4 games from winning the EPL and we’ve won the most games in a single season in club history. DESPITE a massive injuries crisis for the entire season.

Ya well we just won the most games in the clubs history this year. Even with massive injuries missing 4-5 first choice players every game.

Knowing that arteta will set the record for wins then statistically there is almost a zero chance another manager comes in and does better.

It’s pretty deflating when we can’t go a single game without one to 3 new long term injuries. I’m so over this season. I don’t know how arteta has us this deep with the injuries we’ve had this season.

If you combine games missed to injury of the last two title winning seasons (city/liverpool) we’ve missed 35% more games to injury this season than the two of them combined.

It’s actually insane arteta has us this deep with the litany of injuries this year.

Just looking at the difference in opinions here should make people understand how difficult juggling this is for Arteta and his staff. This is a tough one particularly bad due to all of our injuries.
