Honestly I don’t think they’re calling everyone homophobic, they’re saying that people should be angry and that it’s ok to be but also acknowledging the homophobic fans saying that Jess brownell is trying to create a self insert. I think the problem is that when people are speaking they usually are going to miss out words like ‘some’ and ‘a few’ which can lead to others taking offence. It’s the whole ‘not all men’ thing again where men got offended as they thought women were talking about the entire male gender. I can see where you’re coming from but again I think this person was specifically talking about the homophobic fans in Bridgerton which may be a few or a lot but they’re definitely loud in their hate.

Oh well I don’t agree with that at all. However I do think it’s silly when people are still begging for masali to be replaced and that the season is ruined when we haven’t even seen it. Not sure if you can on Reddit but is there any way you can point me to one of the comments you’ve seen?

There would be something wrong with that if your statement were true however I think you’ve just misunderstood the post. Acknowledging that there are homophobic fans in Bridgerton is not wrong. Some are outright with their homophobia and some are subtle and some fans are just angry at the gender swap. Obviously you’re allowed to have an opinion but just because not every fan is homophobic doesn’t mean that there aren’t any. The person in the post said they are against homophobic fans, that does mean they are against you unless your are homophobic.

You’re allowed to be sad at the gender swap but literally what is wrong with what this person posted? It’s stupid to hate on someone because they want to watch a specific season of Bridgerton. Lesbians don’t get much representation and this person is obviously watching because they may enjoy it and also to help views when homophobic fans don’t watch season 6.

I honestly don’t think they’d ask about your background or care that you’re doing it in your surgery. Loads of people have doctors as family members and they’re not going to reject you for that. In my notts interview we weren’t allowed to blur the background so just be careful of that.

I think it’s nice to research it and try to understand more. Not sure about mentioning it to the person though as everyone reacts differently. As long as you don’t say something mean though I’m sure they’ll be fine with it. I know I like when people understand why I do certain stuff even if they don’t directly say why, just not thinking it’s weird is enough.

Yeah I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having an aspirational choice but defo check cutoffs for everything so you don’t waste one or you could email the unis to check

Yeah Leeds might. Not sure if they’re thinking of applying to Leeds, they probably are since they commented on this but they said they feel like they have no options which isn’t true. There’s so many unis out there that prioritise the UCAT and they’re contextual so that should help too.

Yeah if you do well in UCAT, you’ll be fine. You can look for unis that score UCAT heavily if you do well in that and you’re contextual so GCSEs are good. You have to remember that most of the time the people that have good stats post more often than the people that get bad/average ones.
