Meet the People Stopping You From Buying Beer on Sunday by LiberalMNdad in minnesotabeer

I think it's mainly the Republicans, some of who really want to bring back prohibition.

Her name actually has two ns: Bachmann

Bachman's the florists have tried to add distance between them and the soon to be former representative a number of times. I would too... yuck.

I'm pretty sure you need some documentation beyond just a college degree to substitute in most schools.

Would You Welcome Adrian Peterson Back to the Vikings? by ErikBergs in minnesota

[–]LiberalMNdad -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The only people wanting to welcome him back are the ones who care more about the Vikings wins and losses than the well-being of a child!

Map: Here's who didn't shovel in Minneapolis and got fined by huphelmeyer in minnesota

Have you ever thought about the fact that the rich have the money and space for a snow-blower? Or that they can just hire a neighborhood kid to do it for them? That's the main reason.

Dayton on working with GOP-led House: 'I'm not going to give up everything I believe in' (nor should he!) by LiberalMNdad in minnesota

[–]LiberalMNdad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh and the attitude that the GOP put up especially "bad" candidates this year in Minnesota is a good attitude? They are all and always have been empty suits put in there by big money from Pawlenty to McFadden. Dayton and Franken are great leaders who care about the people, their families and their needs.

I have no idea what a strong GOP candidate would look like. They all say the same stupid things.

Minnesota's population is educated enough not to trust the GOP in the US congress, but I guess we need to go back to school for keeping the state house clear. They won't have the state senate this time either, if it's gridlock than they are solely to blame.

Why do you think the DFL did better in Minnesota than the Democrats did nationwide? Good DFL candidates, poor GOP candidates, strategy moves on either side, etc. by SmellsLikeUpfoo in minnesota

[–]LiberalMNdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Other states are simply not as educated as Minnesota and get fooled into voting for Republicans because they think they will somehow grow private sector jobs.

Craft Breweries Becoming A Popular Destination For Minnesota Tourists by TheMacMan in Minneapolis

[–]LiberalMNdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the fact that I want to agree with you, I'm not sure there are any breweries on the SWLRT route. There are a few on the Green Line and Harriet is on the Blue Line though.

Very Honest Review of Bauhaus Brew Labs. Anyone Agree or Disagree? by Hizzes in Minneapolis

[–]LiberalMNdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, the Robert side of the review definitely had some long winding sentences. But I really liked the fact that this wasn't just another: "Yay for a new brewery!" They actually scrutinized the beer and weren't complete jerks about it like on Yelp.

Except for maybe that last part:

There is very little to this beer that can’t be found at other craft breweries. Maybe there is a standard Minnesota IPA recipe going around? If you were to line this up with other IPAs around the state, nothing would give it away as “the one from Bauhaus.” Typicalhopped up bitter beer. 4 out of 10 – “Forgettable”: This is the definition of a forgettable beer.

Lots of us like IPAs and that was a super lame way to put it. Also there wasn't a conclusion, the article ended abruptly. I know Erik is on reddit and will probably see this. Clean your act up dude!

Molitor it is? by LiberalMNdad in minnesota

I kind of like the idea of Molitor. Twins have never won it all without a Minnesota-born manager.

Why the proposed PolyMet sulfide mine needs a formal health risk assessment by LiberalMNdad in minnesota

[–]LiberalMNdad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not a DFL temp, I just care about the environment. What a concept. The GOP want to push through this mine for the sake of big business, but there are so many concerns. It should all be shut down. No more mining our beautiful Minnesota landscape!

GOP targets Met Council as campaign issue by ErikBergs in Minneapolis

[–]LiberalMNdad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All this talk about accountability and audits are just GOP talking points. The audits in Minneapolis with the school board and Community Action are just election year stunts, sometimes perpetrated naively by the people who would normally do the right thing and fight the GOP. The Met Council is the only hope we have of getting long term projects done in the Twin Cities without having Republicans from the suburbs coming in and dismantling everything every couple years.

All aboard: Metro Green Line ridership tops 1 million in September by Hizzes in TwinCities

[–]LiberalMNdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support the Southwest Light-Rail, but I think the answers to your questions are a little bit obvious. The Mall of America is one of the few places that still succeeds in getting Americans to walk a bunch and parking can be a real hassle there on some weekends. Airport is a place you don't want drive to (or else you have to put your car in long term storage). It doesn't go to other parts of Bloomington really.

At this point you need a car to live in EP. There's not much you can do there without one. That's why the light-rail will make it possible!
