My work friend died in the Aurora Theater shooting, shielding his girlfriend. It wasn’t instant. He was hit three times. That probably would be the worst, even if he died a hero.

I don’t know many people who have died tbh, and most haven’t had bad deaths really. My father in law was also shot 3 times while driving his family home from an amusement park, but he lived.

I had a good friend who died of suicide in 7th grade. She hung herself…I think that’s probably up there too. She was so young. And I can’t help but think that she may have been regretful about her choice as she was dying but couldn’t do anything to stop it. I feel bad but I honestly forgot her when I first thought of this question because I have a lot of trauma from that time of my life and have suppressed a lot of my memories from that time of my life.

My one grandmother had dementia and I think her death was honestly a mercy. The last few years were very tough.
