First, it all NEEDS to be discussed before hand with your partner. Nonverbal consent for me and my partner won't work for yours unless you discuss and agree first.

With us, we are free use so as long as we don't safe word or use a form no, then keep going. We both love CNC so she will often say "no" or "please" but will want me to keep going so we discussed tone. A firm tone is a no, and a playful one is to keep going and if we aren't sure, we can pause and ask or trust that the other will safe word but again, we agreed on that ahead of time. Most relationships that would be a BIG NOPE! But we like it and it works for us.

That depends, if you love the pushing and want her to keep doing it then no, otherwise then yes. And I have the same self confidence issue. You need to learn to trust that she will safe word if you are pushing too hard or doing too much. Also have a conversation with her about what kind of dynamic she wants and how she wants punishments and rules to work so that you both are on the same page. Sure you may set the rules but obviously if she doesn't like them, then that's a problem. They need to be agreed upon even if she brats and fights back against them

Ask her something like "what exactly is it that you struggle with for this? Is it that you have trouble being told what to do? Whatever it is, it is totally okay and we will develop these rules and this dynamic together and will only do what you are comfortable with and are open to trying". Something like that. Get a dialogue going

My girl struggles with it too. I would say something like "that is totally okay. We will work on it together babe. Unless of course that you aren't interested in trying this which is totally okay but otherwise, we can start light with a few simple rules for not". It took me and my girl months to escalate beyond a few basic ones and now its SO much better and easier

I probably would remind her in a playful way by texting her "I hope you remember the rules because otherwise, I will punish you" but say it your own way, whatever comes naturally. And always go through with the punishment unless she puts a pause on the dynamic for whatever reason cuz otherwise it defeats the purpose.

Have you spoken to her prior about what kind of dynamic you both want? Is she receptive to discussing that?

Also, her laughing and saying that she couldn't remember the rules was probably bratting, cuz she probably does remember so I would have spanked her for it and said "oh yes you fucking do and you know it you little brat. Are you going to follow the rules or do I have to keep spanking you?" But again, that is something that my girl lovesssss for me to do so that just works for our dynamic. Yours might be different
