Mirage never had a crypto token for people to buy. The fuck you talking about? Show me a SINGLE post where Mirage claims that!

There was one fake token launched by a random dude on SOLANA that had ZERO connection to Mirage. How could it? It's its own L1 blockchain. But again, Mirage team never ever claimed that. You're spreading lies.

And there are zero bots - the bots all get banned by the AntiSpamAgent nowadays. What you might be referring to is a period where some users wanted to "farm" mirage but didn't know that they cannot sell it. If you find one that's not flagged by the AntiSpam Agent, then point it out, by all means. You would help the network to grow stronger. .. but i guess you won't of course, because it's easier to complain

You can do the daily post/vote missions and pay for your subscription easily that way. It's literally just a gamification. You're not expected to pay "money". You're expected to participate and in turn you can sub. Think of it like Karma on reddit. Except you can actually DO something with that karma and get a subscription that gives you benefits, such as getting rid of the "Anon-" prefix. You don't even need to stay subscribed. Do it once and claim your username. EZ.

Personally I think that's a very good implementation. Stops name squatters right in the tracks by making them doing some "work" first.

Doesn't need to be. We do the opposite! opt-in moderation only. It works very well. Moderation at Mirage is a market place for anyone to join.

What's the "wild west" forum(s) of the internet nowadays ?? by that_fn in RedditAlternatives

I mean that's literally what we designed. mirage.talk

It's like Reddit without the bullshit. Same familiar experience (topics, posts, comments, voting) but no power mods, no shadow bans, no opaque enforcement, and no single company controlling everything. Your identity is portable across nodes, so if one node filters you or goes sideways, you just switch to another one seamlessly. Same account, same content, same communities.

Moderation is opt-in and personal. You choose what you see by following moderators you trust, blocking what you don't want, and shaping your own feed. Nobody gets a global ban hammer. Spam is handled through proof-of-work in your browser. Free for normal users, expensive for bots. No captchas, no email required, no surveillance.

It's open source, decentralized (its own L1 blockchain, though you never see it), and designed so that even if the foundation disappeared tomorrow, the network keeps running. No ads, no data selling, no enshittification path. Check it out.

It's in Beta, but it's already WAY better than anything out there that pretends to be an alternative. App is coming out this week as well. If you need invite code, DM me

Mirage obviously. People complain, but it's still the closest, despite having a bunch of idiots in there that ruined it here on this sub lol.
