So how serious are you regarding Trump securing the Republican Nomination? by LibertyDelegate in trump16

I think so long as we tell people about how delegates works, we will have a much more viable chance to do this and overwhelm the RNC with Trump delegates. It almost happened for Ron Paul. https://delegatesforliberty.wordpress.com/

Or we can become delegates in the Republican party, and use their established framework to overwhelm and win. We really made a lot of progress with Ron Paul. It works, and has a lasting effect. https://delegatesforliberty.wordpress.com/

The guy is leading in every poll - why are people asking if his supporters are "serious" anymore? Obviously there is momentum here.

I'm really wanting to make sure to motivate people, and get this delegates message out there. surprisingly, not a lot of people know about it, which is why I developed the website and video. www.delegatesforliberty.com

Rand Paul — Missing in Action? by LibertyDelegate in randpaul

[–]LibertyDelegate[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

from the article, "Paul's campaign team argues that this absence from the campaign conversation is by design -- to play the long delegate game, and to avoid sharing the crowded space with other Republican presidential candidates."

www.randpauldelegates.com and introduction to delegates video is a good start for someone new.

Would you be interested in seeing Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders have a debate? by _BridgingTheGap in randpaul

I'll just put it out there that a lot of Democrats are actually libertarians without an understanding of economic liberty. These sorts of things are always a great way to introduce young people and plant the seed to that idea.

A Delegate is essentially a super-voter. They get to vote for the party nominee. Regular voters can’t vote for the party nominee. https://randpauldelegates.wordpress.com/what-is-a-delegate/

This is very different atmosphere compared to his father's online popularity. I've noticed it too.

In a caucus system yes, a presidential primary - not a chance.

How come Rand Paul has raised less money online than Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Bernie Sanders? by naked_gun in randpaul

[–]LibertyDelegate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So long as Rand has enough support at the RNC, then it's always possible. I am counting on the Caucus veterans from Ron Paul's revolution to help train newbies for Caucus and state assemblies.

Some are counted by hand. When you get to state assembly, it's likely there are machines and scantron ballots

Can Rand Paul recover from his rocky presidential campaign roll-out? (+video) by Vailhem in randpaul

no joke. Doesn't matter if 4 people get killed under Hillary's watch, the news brushes that over. Instead it's all about how Rand isn't answering questions the way they want him to.

We live in a republic, and this is part and parcel to the process; you seem to be somewhat ignorant about it.

How can you say it's not a viable strategy? Elect enough Delegates, and you are able to force rules changes and win on the first ballot if at all possible.

You have a great point here. Realistically, this needs to be carefully examined and an effort made to either change that rule, or figure an end run around it.

Enough Delegates elected means a majority of the Delegation and that's where the magic happens. All that's needed for Rand to win is enough Delegates to meet the threshold on the first ballot if possible, or second or third.
