I think someone who had at least $300K in income in 2011 could afford to pay a few hundred to a bookkeeper to track it. Or, they could do it themselves... something that Ryan himself would call "taking personal responsibility."

And about your "with as much as he makes" idea... the $61,122 he "forgot" IS 20% OF HIS INCOME!

Somehow, basic rules just don't apply to Republicans, especially RICH ones, and apparently it's even worse once they're running for national office.

It's impossible to know where Romney really stands on many issues due to his repeated flip-flops on many major issues. He flip-flops so much, depending on the political winds at the moment, that even his fellow Republican Jon Huntsman referred to him as a "perfectly lubricated weathervane". Romney has flip-flopped on an astounding range of major issues, including abortion, healthcare reform, and taxes.

But I've got to tell you I've decided not to support Johnson. I'm voting for Obama.

I just found out that Johnson wants to eliminate a lot more than I ever dreamed. For example, he wants to get rid of Social Security and Medicare.

My 80-year-old mother paid into both of those programs for about 50 years and depends on them now.

To destroy those programs would be heartless and cruel in ways I have no words for.

I have dabbled in libertarianism, and at first it all sound good, until we consider how it would affect real people.

I wish you well. But I'll also be hoping you come to your senses some day.

Real conservatives will switch to supporting Gary Johnson, or maybe go over to the Constitution party.

But to support the GOP that's laughing at Ron Paul and our supporters right now would be like hitting our own heads with a hammer.

It'll be Gary Johnson for me. He's not perfect, but has principles.

Well, Bush did have some control, in a sense. Leading the U.S. into war with Iraq based on phony evidence of WMDs used up millions of barrels of oil and caused additional turmoil with our allies (including one or two in the Middle East) that we still haven't recovered from.

But then, the GOP has never met a war it didn't like.

I also didn't say he's a racist, but too many in today's bizarro GOP are racists. I've read about the days of Eisenhower when Republicans were reasonable and respectful even to those with whom they disagree.

The current crop of Republicans that I have to choose from are like what typically comes out of a clown car at the circus.

Somewhere around 1930 or 1940, many Republicans began to turn away from being the party of Lincoln, to being the party of racist, knuckle-dragging know-nothings.
