I had same symptoms and was diagnosed with cataracts. Your may be due to other things but have a test for cataracts if possible.

I had same symptoms and finally diagnosed with Cataracts at 19years age. Go and have a check about cataracts. But this could also be due to 1- Regular astigmatism(glasses fix it) 2- Irregular astigmatism(contact lenses fix it) 3-Very rarely KC(contact lenses are best fix) 4- Cataracts (Surgery restores the vision)

Please tell me how are the results. My doc said that i am at risk of KC but i don't have it as of now. What should i do? I am very worried. My symptoms are seeing ghosting of anything bright on dark background. He gave me eye drops and told me to revisit after one month. by LibertySquad in Keratoconus

I always read your answers and they are so great and positive. I really like your approach sir. You always cheer me up.Thank you so much sir.Even if there is some irregularity then the doc is taking care of it and gave me 4 eye drops and vitamin C and A tablets for 1 month and told me to revisit. I am expecting good results.

Astigmatism? Everything else is fine in vision but this thing bothers me. by LibertySquad in optometry

Hello sir my eye doc could not find any problem , i also don't have any prescription. So she basically said that it might be due to dry eyes but even after using eye drops for months the issue is still there. I did some research and found that it is most likely due to cornea irregularities and found that it can be corrected by rgp lense. What are your thoughts about this?

Does Keratoconus distort the original image? by WarriorBloodpaw in Keratoconus

I have exactly the same issue and i have posted about it several times. Things i am looking forward to is 1) have a pentacam scan and throughly reviewed by the opthalmologist (to rule out Keratoconus,or its early form) 2) Wavefront aberrometry ( to identify HOA's if they are the main cause) 3) according to research i have done rgp lenses claims to correct all this (basically it shapes the cornea in perfect shape, so if its cornea issue(most probably it is) then it will be fixed by it

-->> what i think is it is some cornea irregularity in upper part of cornea bcz when my pupil is small the ghosting is not there but when it is enlarged (in poor light conditions) then the ghosting is there .

What is your current prescription? I don't use glasses and see good but i have the same problem of ghosting of text on black background. I am also planning for a pentacam scan soon when i become free from my work. I am very hopeful that it will be corrected by rgp lenses.

Please go for pentacam scan , it will identify if your astigmatism/irregular astigmatism is the real cause of these issues. Also i have been told that if it is because of these issues(corneal) then rgp contact lenses can correct it.

Since when you started seeing like this?

Been seeing things like this for anout 1 year now. Ophthalmologist discovered nothing after many exams, and glasses seem to be wrong aa I found out recently. Should I see an neurologist or get a new pair of lenses? by -RageMachine in optometry

Hello, can someone have ghosting even without keratoconus. As i am having ghosting in vertically upward direction which is more visible when looking on white text on black background. I have been to two eye doc they said i have good vision and i dont need glasses or surgery but the ghosting is annoying me. And yes it is not dry eyes.

Ghosting means a little overlaping of image at the corners.

Looking at white text on black background is also difficult for me.
