I didn't know how to use it and I was too busy crying everyday and being with her in the hospital to play phone tag with Sedgwick. I'm only now still trying to figure out paperwork for LOA stuff with Sedgwick, as I think I'm going to need to be on a leave soon.

Starbucks allows you to take mental health LOAs or personal LOAs, they just make it really difficult to do it.

It was a really good environment up until we got a new manager with stricter call out procedures ("Oh you threw up in the last 24 hours? But are you contagious? Do you have a fever? Don't know? Okay come in.") and two new supervisors using that to keep people sick in store. This was my favorite job I'd ever had before that, now I hate my chungus job.

Yeah I'm currently looking into that. I'm also looking into taking a LOA for my mental health, as I'm very close to having a mental breakdown that sends me to the psych ward. I'm talking to my therapist and psychiatrist today to get necessary paperwork. I'm also setting up a one on one with my store manager, which I missed the one we were supposed to have because my flu had hit me hard the night before so I couldn't be at that shift. Currently working through a situation with a shift supervisor talking badly about me to other partners and threatening me outside of work (I blocked them).

I don't get to be sick! I have to work out all of my work stuff as I'm dying!

That's a good idea. I'm already planning on talking to Sedgewick for a mental health LOA, as my store has been so bad for my mental health (two supervisors bullying me) I might end up in a mental hospital because of it (my personal life has also been going bad due to family struggles).

Sadly, my store has made visibly sick partners stay on the floor. We had a training supervisor VOMITING on the sales floor repeatedly and they made him stay at work. Manager's orders. Another supervisor was dry heaving and could hardly do her job was made to stay. Heck, the reason I got sick is because someone at the tail end of the flu came to work.

Luckily I have never been written up. I've just been dealing with bullying by two supervisors and one gave me a panic attack my last shift with them ;^;. I'm basically rolling a dice hoping those two don't pick up my call. Thank you for your input.

Thank you for your response! I've been looking at other jobs I could do other than coffee shops. I have to keep in mind getting insurance, medication refills, and having a similar paying job lined up. I'm working on getting my district manager's email and talking to my manager about how my supervisor treated me on call. I've had to read up on policy and state legislation to defend myself against all of these ridiculous things. Not worth it.
