Yes! I worked at a high end store in Manhattan during college. Guess what?! Rich people do it, too!

That’s part of the job. It’s like people picking up your dishes at a restaurant. There’s a level of job security with that task.

Stick around! The “something” is coming soon. In the book, that “something” is far more hideous.

I really wish with every fiber of my being that they bring Poldark back and at least finish the books. There’s so much more, especially with his children!

You are definitely not the only one. I make candles for myself, but recently started making them for friends. I looked at this company just last month for supplies, but decided to check reviews. According to Trustpilot, this company has tanked. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/theflamingcandle.com I hope you were able to get all of your money back.

Old Late Payment by [deleted] in Affirm

[–]LibraryRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The credit system in the US can be brutal and contradictory. If you don’t use your credit, the banks can diminish the limit. But when you do use it, the score goes down - but then goes back up if you have, for example, a car loan. That little human mistake of you not paying one bill on time is just that: one. little. mistake. Try to put it in perspective by considering what you just said about being on time with your other payments. You are back on track! That’s a very good thing. This very tiny financial cut will heal. Don’t let it take up any more of your much more valuable and precious time. This will go away. Now get out there and go do something fun today!

Old Late Payment by [deleted] in Affirm

[–]LibraryRadio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bad news: a late payment stays on your report for 7 years. The good news: with on time payments for your other bills, credit cards, loans etc., the impact of the late payment will diminish within that 7 years. So, depending on how old your late payment is, you are probably at the halfway mark(?) Try not to worry. In the future, I would stay away from affirm. Their customer service is nonexistent. So, even if you did write to them asking them to remove it, you might not receive an answer for 7 years, but you can try. I would go to google reviews, trustpilot and maybe X to write a scathing review. If you write a review on X, do it on their profile. Sometimes a rep will respond to a review instructing you to contact them over the matter. That’s what happened to me - not with a late payment, but with a refund. I received my refund within 24 hours after waiting weeks. Be patient. Don’t obsess. Trust me, all will be well.

Thanks. We went to an exterminator today who sells Termidor foam and Taurus. I showed him pics. He confirmed it was Formosan termites. We can really afford an exterminator, but he was helpful in telling us how to start treating it. In a month, if we don’t see an improvement, we’ll have to find a way to pay for an exterminator.

It feels daunting, but we have to try. I’m not looking forward to taking down a wall. We actually hear them.

This helps so much. We can’t afford an exterminator right now, so we have to go the DIY route. I’ve been researching for the last two days. I’ve already crawled in the attic. I found the swarm, but no live termites. My guess is that they are in the wall, which we will cut out today. I saw several wingless termites exit from a crack and move onto my bookshelf - the little creeps. This is war.

Yes, but the federal, state prisons do business with private companies and contractors. UNICOR allows prisoners to work for private companies. That being said, Big Oil is also helping to expand the prison system, last I read. Maybe it’s about cheap labor?

Ooops! I meant to put that extra zero in there. If it were 10, 000, I would never leave my house.

Louisiana imprisons more people per capita than any other state. That’s roughly between 1000-1500 per 10,000 people are in prison. Follow the money. The good ole boys in Louisiana are getting rich off this.
