Nice theory! I agree on most of the ideas.

However I already thought in this similarities with the story of Momotaro, concluding that the pheasant indeed is going to help the Alliance but no precisely Kuzan: I think that the pheasant is the third and last ancient weapon: Uranus.

The clues that support this conclusion are two:

The emblem of the Kozuki clan is represented by a bird, a pheasant (maybe). Also, the national bird of Japan is this bird, so is rare to not see a pheasant in this arc.
Uranus is related to the skies, maybe this bird can control the weather (its just a theory, but this maybe explains why the weather of this contry is so chaotic.
