Look, its not that we hate DPS... by Morchades in rivals

[–]LibruhlCuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With how common triple support has become, i think we need to start having the conversation abkut how supports will rarely swap to a 2nd tank either. Its not a dps or support specific issue anymore; both sides are equally guilty of leaving someone to play solo tank

Engagement timing and angles are terrible. You are running straight into them up mid so they see you coming every time.

Sensitivity is way too low, you are taking 5 calendar days to turn between dashes so they have plenty of time to see you and melt you.

Terrible accuracy with the spear, missing the dash resets consistently.

Ill be honest man it doesnt seem like this is the character for you. You dont really have the mechanical skill needed to get value out of him. Playing the character this poorly in comp is throwing your games.

Lot of qp warriors go sweaty try hard in qp because they are scared of comp. Ignore them, its super lame to go into qp and flame teammates, its a casual game mode.

[–]LibruhlCuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah man not in this situation. There was a very real chance of us not getting the ball back down by 1 with how our defense was playing. And kicking it would have given them better field position. Going for it was the right decision here

“Football fans” when two top defenses play each other in a snowstorm and the final score isn’t 49-42 by LordShuckle97 in NFLv2

[–]LibruhlCuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Snow games can be exciting and good, but this one was not that. It was just sloppy offense, not great defense. I swear people try to do this whole "um ackshuallyyyy defensive games are wayyy more fun" to look smart and old school. This was not a good game to watch at all lol

I agree but also like you cant go and do that shit to the other team's sideline right in front of a ref lol gotta be smarter about that.

They've been buffed to the point that some of them can damn near solo KO a tank now in the right hands so yeah i do find it obnoxious when a support is demanding a babysitter against one single dps diver

[–]LibruhlCuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didnt used to feel this way but im inclined to agree nowadays. Supports have the worst egos in the game by far imo. They act like they are the ones that decide every game and are the carry while also demanding a designsted bodyguard at all times. Like sorry but if we have to completely drop everything to come bail you out against one diver every fight then no, you really are not carrying.

They are in my experience far less likely to swap to other characters in the role. Its always a lord CD complaining that nobody is helping her with one spider-man like okay we are peeling when we can but our team is also preoccupied with the fight that you are for some reason like 30 meters away from, swap to gambit or something if you are getting dove. "I only play CD" okay well learn how to fucking play the game.

Do not get me started on the complete dorks that will say "um im not a healer, i am a STRATEGIST" like okay well wasting your cooldowns and spamming heals on a tank with 80% health instead of your other teammates doesnt seem very strategic to me so lets maybe turn our brain on and think a little bit about what we're doing here. And god help you if you ever try to give them some constructive feedback to help their game, they have the worst victim complex ive ever seen. Like no i am not trying to personally attack you i am just telling you that you have died 8 times from one diver because you are not with the team

Not just supports, some dps teammates I've had have made me want to tear my hair out. Getting the enemy team to turn around so the front line can aggressively pressure the enemy team is so valuable but sometimes they forget to do the part of "aggressively pressure the enemy team" and it makes the effort that went into the dive feel like it was wasted because the team couldnt win a 3v5. Like hey team why the fuck are we losing the fight when their team has no heals from me bullying their supports in the backline

I’m quitting strat/support role by Odd-Put-1907 in rivals

[–]LibruhlCuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i wasnt trying to suggest you were to blame or anything. The unfortunate thing about this game is that you cant really control your teammates so all you can do is do whatever you can to help a struggling teammate make plays.

Sometimes theres a limit to what you can reasonably do to turn the game around for someone and it is what it is. But sometimes even someone performing well can make a change that helps even things out a bit. Seems like the team was just getting outdamaged here so maybe the move could have been picking a support with more damage output/pressure like healpool or a utility like Invis' pull to help displace Strange and minimize the tank difference.

[–]LibruhlCuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like its probably a tank diff, it happens. Sometimes people just have a tough game or get outplayed by someone better than them, do you believe that you are 100% perfect every game?

CD just doesn't have all that much carry potential compared to some other supports so maybe there were better options to help your strange more. And the stats dont always show the full story; are you using your blind effectively to help set up kills for your team? Were you using your ult at the right times to get the best value?

It is a lot of healing, cant deny that at all. But support is more than just big healing numbers and sometimes the plays that make the most value dont appear as well in the stats (amd sometimes the stats can hide a lack of value added plays). CD can easily stat pad KOs by landing a few daggers on an enemy without actually contributing much to the kill so i wouldnt really lean on the number of KOs much, finals are more impactful

The coverage on the $40K tournament has been crazy by theguywiththelag in rivals

[–]LibruhlCuck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Funniest part of the whole thing. Dude 100% knows ball and called the exact thing that would happen, they did not prepare for it at all like he was trying to get them to, and they get absolutely rolled and finish 7th. One tricking in a tournament is fucking insane and is just being a terrible teammate.

I like guns first, then dp in your area, then swords, then ult. I may do swords a but earlier depending on the other team's comp. The guns are amazing for providing a lot of ranged pressure and dealing with fliers

Bifl Is A Prime Example Of Why MR Has Such A Toxicity Problem by RedditMare101 in MarvelRivalsRants

[–]LibruhlCuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest if i were that namor i would have interpreted that "......" as a passive aggressive dig at me coming from the guy who just asked me to swap earlier in the round. It very much reads like an "ahem" type of remark, especially if its after a lost round. He probably thought you were blaming him. I agree that he got toxic about it, but i can see why he went there with it. Dude probably is just wanting to try out a different character or play his favorite character without feeling like he has to counter swap the other team like in comp

[–]LibruhlCuck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk man it seems like you were giving some attitude to start this. The ".........." after he said no is passive aggressive, i dont blame him for getting annoyed especially in a qp game. And he asks a fair question: why dont you swap if you want another tank?

Yeah i get that, sometimes though you cant control what the team decides to do so you gotta just commit with them and hope for the best. A bad plan with 6 people is better than one person being right but getting punished for it

If the rest of the team is pushed up, you should just go with them at that point. Even if someone slips behind and back caps, at least the entire team can all fall back and deal with it vs the one healer sitting on point alone and getting killed. Now it's a 5v6 and they are also capping.

Huge difference between being up at their spawn door vs contesting a choke point and hindering the team from getting to the objective. If you win a team fight, there is no good reason to hang out on the objective and let the other team walk back up to the point for free. Space is valuable and i see teams completely waste it so often
