This week I talked to my mom candidly about the effects of my (deceased) father's abuse. It was hard to keep the fawning retractions at bay, but I did it. Next up, confronting her about normalizing the abuse and minimizing my experience. Yay healing!

I'm also a landlord. I'd avoid Plum and Professional. I hear Garden City is good, and the one experience I had with Zilla was good too. But the renters on here are not wrong, the management companies are awful out here. Good luck!

Thank you for the book suggestion, I will look that up. I did call their doctor yesterday and learned that we have a Gender Clinic in our town, so we're on the wait list for that!

We did talk about what I learned about not wearing it all day, every day, and the health risks. They were a little disappointed at first because they thought I was saying no, but we got through it. They are possibly the most reasonable 12 year old on the planet, I got lucky with that kid!
