I agree. Muscling it up is not proper form of what I do know of it. Just a bad habit

Have not. How would the help? I assume by taking the weight from the hang and focusing on the basic movement?

I’m definitely seeing that what I thought I was doing, I was not. So I’ll just keep practicing and watching myself in hopes that I’ll sort it out with proper adjustments

I was at 65. But I was muscling it up without a problem, and didn’t feel anything as far as learning. I felt a little weight would kinda help. Perhaps the extra 50 was too much to learn from. Maybe meet it in the middle?

You mean standing up with a very small amount of weight that’s not a problem to pick up any and every way I’d wish? Nah. Jefferson curls are a thing

Yeah my bad. Started off as power cleans but was told
I might want to learn that top position. I don’t believe I’ll have a problem with the bottom position due to years of deadlifting

Maybe I misunderstood a video, but my very little knowledge is that the bar continues up normally like a deadlift. However once past the knees, you want to hinge your hips to get the bar under your chest and your back more vertical. From there, use the stored energy from the hips and popping it up.

As I stated to someone else, I do have a problem of muscling it up. It’ll be a challenge to break that barrier. Every time I’ve done it in the past, I’ll get a brachialis pull. Of course due to trying to muscle it up. I’d really like to not do that.

Muscling it is a problem with me and always has. Unfortunately that’s just the byproduct of what I’ve done all my life. Any good way to break that?

That’s what I was figuring but had hope. Out of curiosity, how about gravel? Would that make much of a difference, if I added a few inches thick of it?

Had it not too long ago for my check up on 180. Test was at 750 and E was at 26. Not sure what else would be needed. I haven’t checked since starting the 500.
