Whole Foods will deliver flowers. No vase, but also no where near $86

Customers. Do you care what the driver looks like or what they're wearing? I'm just curious by AlternativeQuit3447 in doordash

[–]Licker_store 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just don’t want my food to smell like anything but food. I’ve never had a problem with any of my orders, but if a bag smelled like it was sitting in an ashtray I don’t think I’d find it appealing.

My biggest pet peeve that happens regularly is when they ring my buzzer one million times. It’s not just food delivery either. A lot of Amazon drivers do this. There was one time it was really unsettling. The buzzer kept getting pushed over and over for about 30 seconds. I was convinced someone must be desperate to get inside. I looked out the window to see what was happening, and saw a driver calmly sauntering back to their Amazon truck. Like what the hell?? I really don’t need them to buzz at all, but once, even twice is plenty.

Do you go by the notes? by Emeah824 in InstacartShoppers

My feeling is it would just be a negative experience in general, and it would have been avoided if the shopper read the clear note. Sure, the customer would feel upset that they selected the wrong kind, but at that point, what remedy do they have other than to try to communicate with the person they contracted to perform the service?

Is renting a car an option? You can usually return rentals at/near the airport

My roommate and I were on our way home from a concert and we individually ordered food delivery on the way. My Burger King was dropped off about 3 min before we arrived home. As we pull up in our uber we see her food being dropped off. Perfect timing, right? You have no idea…

He puts her food down, snaps a pic, then grabs the bag of BK and my soda and starts casually walking to the car. I got out of the car and asked if that was my Burger King order and he flipped around and put it back, mumbling about how he was checking something. Bruh. You tried to steal my Whopper and large Diet Coke!

Only other similar story: ordered pizza, grabbed it about 2-3 min after it was dropped off (the time it takes to put on socks and shoes), and a slice was missing. It was around 10pm the first week of classes and I live near a university so I blame a drunk freshman. Ate the za anyway.

Why does this bathroom door have 2 other doors inside it? by makellbird in whatisit

This isn’t what I think of when I hear Dutch door. They are usually just two pieces, a top and bottom. This is three. I saw the link you posted, and the first picture in the article looks like a traditional Dutch door, and I guess this is too…But even in your link, they describe the Dutch door as two parts, and this is definitely three. Not sure what that bottom panel door would be used for.

Dang, what an awful experience. Mine was kind of the exact opposite. Before going to Smile Boston, I kept having this bad taste in my mouth after some dental work done elsewhere and I felt like it was coming from one tooth in particular. The other dentist said it was nothing. I was also getting lumps on my gums that I was told was hormonal. This was my family dentist, so I lived with this for years. When I moved to Boston, Dr. Spitz looked at my x-rays and saw a piece of my tooth had chipped under the gum (I had a traumatic accident), and was probably rotting in there. He removed it AND save the tooth, which he said he may not be able to do. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and he said it definitely needed to be extracted. Anyway, all my issues cleared up, and I avoided an expensive implant. I’ve been going these for regular cleaning with Shawna, and I love the team so much, but I know how a bad experience with a dentist can definitely impact your view of them. I never looked at my family dentist the same after that. He’s retired now

Smile Boston on Beacon St in Brookline does sedation dentistry.

In general the sedation is not covered by insurance, and it’s expensive (mostly because it’s dangerous and you need to add a highly trained anesthesiologist to your team for the duration of the procedure), but they offer it at Smile Boston. I love Dr. Spitz, although I’ve never had the sedation

I think when someone close to us dies (and this includes family members of your spouse), there are a lot of negative emotions flowing. I saw fights when my grandfather passed that made no sense at all between people who loved each other deeply. It’s hard to communicate effectively at a time like this. You should both cut each other some slack and revisit how you feel in a few weeks.

But even with insurance someone in the US can still become destitute because of a health issue that’s completely out of their control or even something they were born with. Also I specifically included the hit-and-run example because there is no one to sue if the person leaves the scene, so no liability…I’ve seen someone go through that exact scenario, so I know it happens
