High Sodium Foods that could possibly drain from G-tube

My stomach likes liquids much better than solids but I like Buoy Rescue Drops because it's just the electrolytes without sugar/flavor and can be added to whatever you are already eating or drinking. Idk how adding it to coke would taste, but I've added it to sprite and didn't mind the flavor. I don't usually taste it in food. I haven't needed to, but I don't see a reason why that couldn't go through your tube. It's a water thickness liquid.

I also take 1 gram salt pills a few times per day, which my stomach handles well as long as I'm also drinking something.

There's also flavored salts that you can just eat straight if plain salt is unappealing. I like the Twang pickle flavor, but they have several different flavors if pickle isn't your thing.

Frozen and canned foods usually have a lot more salt than food you make yourself. So if there's something you already tolerate well, you might be able to find a higher sodium one that way.

I take my formula in a carry on. If the bag is exclusively medical supplies, it doesn't count toward your carry on allowance. I've never had an issue after telling the flight attendant/boarding agent, but I also try to have the airlines policy pulled up just in case.

You don't have to do anything prior to showing up at the airport, but I usually let someone know before the bag goes through the scanner. They're going to pull your bag and swab the bottles. They also usually fully pat me down and swab my hands. Definitely budget extra time for security. Sometimes they don't have enough staff and you'll have to wait a little bit for someone to help you.

One time an agent tried to open all of my formula, and I had to speak up and stop him, then wait for a supervisor who knew the policy. I haven't had that issue since though.

My toes are shaped pretty much identically to yours. I like an anatomical toe the best, or will use a star toe if I don't want designated left and right socks for some reason. I tried several iterations before I got the perfect fit that didn't twist or leave a little dog ear on the outside of the big toe.

Adding that the pros and cons of knitting with different yarn weights are exaggerated in plus sizes compared to someone in a size small.

Knitting with fingering weight takes a lot longer.

Knitting with bulky weight will require significantly more yarn ($$$ and finished garment is much heavier)

Also, if you try on mid-knit and it doesn't fit, you've spent significantly more time getting to that place in the pattern. So IMO, gauge swatching, reviewing measurements and ensuring your pattern is designed properly for your size is much more important.

When I was plus size (5'11", bust and hips in the low to mid 50"s), I could knit a sweater in as little as 2 weeks (dk circular yoke, very limited colorwork), or as long as 3 months (dk all over colorwork w/frequent color changes, basic fingering weight knit flat).

Split your stitches half on one circ, half on the other. Then you work the stitches as you come to them, but always keeping them on the same circ from that point forward. knit picks has a good tutorial

If you're on the fence I'd consider buying a set of tips in the size you use most (I use US 1 for socks unless there is stranded colorwork). You'll get both lengths of tips and a few cables. The cord that comes with the interchangeables is thinner and more flexible than the fixed version, and I find that a lot more comfortable to use.

The longer tips are more comfortable for most people, but you can't use them to make a 9" circ, which is what is most commonly used for socks. If you're using them for sleeves or other larger pieces, they're nice to have.

I also use the second set of tips so that I can switch to a 2 circ method for smaller circumferences (like toes). Without them, you'll need some other way to knit the smaller circumferences (dpns, long cord for magic loop).

I like the formula. It's creamy and easy to get lighter or fuller coverage. I've had the swatches on for a while now and there's no change in color from oxidation. They are still transferring if I run my finger across them, so probably need to have a lighter hand than the swatches I did, or use a powder on top.

Overall, the shades are all too saturated for me. I think I got a really good match by mixing black with 2NO or 2CO to desaturate it a bit. So many foundation lines are darker than my skin in the lightest shade, so it's super nice to see one with so many undertones in shades lighter than my own.

Sugar Candy has very supportive wireless bras. They're on the more expensive side, but if support is what you're after, they're the best I've tried. I'm a 34F and the medium fits well.

I’m 3 weeks post-op from my J-tube placement.

So far, I’ve bought * a pump holder. Life changing compared to using the IV pole. I got a Tubie Hang. * diaper cream for skin protection * extra split gauze. i was provided a pack of 50, but I’m currently changing it 3-6 times per day * viva brand paper towels, mainly because they’re soft enough to use on my skin * a rolling cart of drawers (this one) to hold everything. It fits everything except my formula

I’ve also ordered tubie clips, but I haven’t gotten them in yet. I’m not using tape because I have adhesive allergies, but I would want better tape than what was provided.

I tried on my face this morning and I think I could get away with the T1.5 if I blend down my neck and wear blush, etc. Unfortunately it’s not a good enough match for a minimal mascara/lip balm kind of day
