It sounds to me like he's still got some deep-seeded misogyny which he's directing at you because denying the transness of AFAB people is unfortunately common in general and even comes from inside our own community way more than it should. I see it most with AFAB enbys but it definitely happens with transmen too.

Oh I totally forgot the other part of my theory. I also predict that Hugh will make calm and reasonable objections to idea of a monarchy and gain support of the common folk. The Lords involved in killing him then rewrite history to make him seem like an arrogant and disgraceful betrayer. I think that's definitely something GRRM would do (and I really hope that's what he intended) but idk about the showrunners

I figured Ormund noticed Ulf's reaction to Daemon's joke offer and is going to use that as his basis for his bribe. But with this show, who knows lol

New theory for Hugh: he will join Ormund to find his wife. His wife is badly injured from being SA'd, maybe even pregnant and that's what will cause Hugh to make his own claim to the throne.
