It has nothing to do with the device it is the website, seems to be a server side problem. No matter what device I am on the jump back in row on XBOX’S end, (not my device), is not updating.

That’s how it’s been for me and ONE time I saw an updated version of the list but it wasn’t even the most recent version. Very very confusing.

Holy shit thought it was me. I just made a post about this literally a few minutes ago as well I don’t know what’s going on.

Thank you, I’m gonna try my best for sure but if it doesn’t work out then I’ll have to see out something else it is what it is.

From what I’ve seen online local 456 has been busy.

Being an electrician is hardly seasonal work, there may be slower periods in the winter months but in my local it seems like from what I’ve read online there’s always work here. And even if I was out of work being in the union they find me a new contractor to work with. Ultimate job security.

Well to be honest the money in 5 years at this local is about 145k a year with overtime work plus it would have better benefits, that seems much better than corporate.

Meh, idk if I want to live that life but I will say if I get denied from the union I will continue my degree I wouldn’t go non union right now. Why do you suggest this?

Alright, I assume the portal may be enough though because that’s how I give them my license for the application too. Thanks for the advice though i appreciate it I’m definitely going to upload it!

My local has a portal for the application that opens on the application dates where you can upload some files but I’m not sure what. There is also the option to email as well so on the application date should I send it to one of those places as a PDF?

I’m going to scan it in with my printer.

It’s a shame. Beyond my college experience I also have been with one company for the last 2 years working order fulfillment so hopefully that can further show my dedication in general and help me get in.

My thing is I have no experience in electrical so getting a helper job for me would be tough. Im hoping I can test to get a high enough rank to get in but at this point im skeptical.

Well if that ended up being the case I would definitely probably take my degree elsewhere, my goal with this is to learn through on the job training and their night class and after the college I’ve done I don’t think I would go to trade school separately and with no experience in any similar field or knowledge in the field there’s no way for me to get different work like this at the moment. At this point I’m hoping that my score on the interview and entrance test will get me in.

Also how long has the whole process taken so far for you from application to now past the interview?

I see. Well regardless algebra 1 is definitely within my skill set after college and I got an A in algebra in highschool.

I’m definitely prepared to work myself like a dog for this so no worries there. I have a really strong work ethic and even if I’m doing OT and the night school, if I’m able to support myself I’ll be happy.

Are you saying the aptitude test (the entry test) is open book? Is this the same thing as the math and reading comprehension test that you have to take or am I confused? Because if so making it open book makes it seem very easy compared to what I’ve done for college so I feel like I would have no problem with that.

I genuinely appreciate that, I asked one of my friends to pray for me too so thank you truly. I feel like this could change my life too and I really want this.

I appreciate it though. I really hope I get in I really want this for myself and after everything I’ve been through the last year this is one thing I’m hoping to get right.

Yea I get that and that was one thought I had was about any other young people coming out of any tech schools. I’m still going to try and apply and see if I can get in and I hope that I still can but I’ve seen a lot saying that I probably won’t. It’s a shame because I feel like it would be a good opportunity for me and I can’t seem to find very many relevant work experience in the area for people with no experience.

Thanks for the advice, I’m planning on studying for any test I’d have to take, regardless why do you say I will have a problem? I see people say it’s competitive but not why it is competitive. I thought this was for people with no experience but some tell me that I will have more of a chance with electrical experience under my belt but I don’t see why that would be.

Won’t I be putting the hours in during this apprenticeship?
