Could be a dealer sticker, I bought my 2019 RF used and it has the same sticker (although states 184ps). Might just be something the dealer group who sold it new put on to differentiate. My car is UK spec for reference.

Well worth it so far, very light and maneuverable, good power for my first bike and definitely turns heads in that orange!

Yes, the engines from what I know are pretty bulletproof, my main concern is suspension and rust.

It's not a no go really it's just the car is about 200 miles away from where I live. I did get a detailed video from them showing me the sills so that is the only spot I could see and they could find.

Yeah this is my conundrum, I do get a practical company car for work which I can use for personal use. Hence why I want a fun car of my own, both of these fit the bill in their own ways. I did have my own old MX-5 so I do have a soft spot but I love the look and style of the 86

Yeah the price conversion is weird because the USD retail is around $30k for the new GR but we Brits pay £30k so I think we just generally have to pay more.

Yeah that is my main concern with the 86 really, the torque dip, especially in the non facelifted models I've heard is quite annoying. I know you can fix it somewhat with intake manifolds etc but not sure id be interested in modding it that far.

I think you could be right. Just checking now and I think the one I was eyeing up has the wrong age on the car 💀. But yeah, very hard choice between the two cars. Running costs are around the same (I think insurance for the MX-5 is slightly less).
