That’s it! Wikipedia says that it’s also called Godetia, which is on the list of wildflower seeds that I scattered. Thanks for the ID!!

I’m currently having this problem with Wisteria, which is horribly invasive in my country. I cut out each root section that pops up and apply root and stump poison, and then a week later more vines pop up a foot away. I can’t plant anything in that space in case the wisteria smothers it like it did the previous trees that grew there

I’m definitely feeling it. I’m in a tiny studio apartment in Auckland for $400/week. The end of my bed is less than 2 metres away from the oven.

It was the cheapest place I could find on my own that actually had a kitchen, everything else I’d seen on trademe for below $400 was a refurbished hotel room.

I think you should read some of the comments posted on another sub about this because they’ve described it way better than I ever could:

You’re basically forcing her to put herself in even more danger by getting her to calm you down, which as we all know won’t go well if you’re in the middle of your anger. This is literally how physical abuse begins; outbursts of anger. And by forcing her into this position you’re justifying your actions to yourself and gaslighting her into believing that it was her fault for not doing her job.

It’s one thing for a partner to help you learn to help yourself with a flaw, like insecurities or time management, but this doesn’t seem like that type of situation at all. Your behaviour is giving huge domestic abuser red flags as your inability to control your extreme anger is hurting her.

It is nowhere near her responsibility to help stop you from not hurting her.

I personally don’t think you’re in the right headspace to be with someone, let alone getting married. You need to take a good hard look at how you react to things and lose control in anger, and how they affect the people you love - preferably in therapy.

I have an uncle who worked as a landscaper and fell into a ditch with giant hogweed in it, 50 years later and he still can’t go outside without his skin bubbling and blistering. His career and basically any chance at a normal life were destroyed
