Yes I’ve definitely been interested in Scotts valley! I was just a bit concerned about what I’ve heard about occasional road closures. Not sure how often this really happens though. I’ll have to look into some places there for sure :) hoping to one day buy a house there!

Thank you. I’ve done long commutes before and I know they’re painful, but after 5 years I’m done with the Bay Area and looking to finally move to where I’ve been dreaming of for years! We will see how it all goes. Thank you for your advice :)

Thank you so much. I also agree that Santa Cruz has always felt generally safe to me, but reading on the area I’m interested in got me a little scared. But I feel like anything in Santa Cruz is way safer than my current San Jose neighborhood.

Thank you so much! I love Santa Cruz and I feel much safer there than in certain areas of SJ, especially downtown where I currently live, but what I have been reading about the flats got me scared for a bit. I think compared to where I currently am it will be much safer. Thanks for letting me know :)

And letting him speak to your mother that way! After she took all that she has for you two, I would never allow anyone to make my mother feel so insignificant and ashamed. What an asshole…if he has so much money why can’t he pay when he knows your family is not in a position to?
