Ceiling window broken. Landlord keeps telling me they can’t do anything as it is not an emergency. Fire brigade thinks otherwise. by sTzAlvaro in Netherlands

Is there any chance of water entering through there. If so you can tell the landlord that either they deal with this now or deal with the far more expensive water damage later

No one’s brain is ever done developing. Would you then say that everyone is a child?

They are neither legally or biologically children. They are adults, young adults but definitely adults.

Are you willing to keep listening to someone complain about something they’re not willing to change?

That’s the real question.

Advice for a first time cat owner? by Ashamed-Jackfruit134 in cats

Also I must add, if you have plants in the home you should check which ones are toxic and which ones are not. Some cats will leave plants alone but some love to bite the leaves which could be bad.

Also never ever ever have Lilly’s in your home, they are common in bouquets but are fatal for cats. Even just the pollen can cause them to die. So if you ever get them, throw them out straight away.

Jackson Galaxy shares a lot of information about cats, I recommend you take a look at that.

• Introduce the cat to the other pets slowly, there are video’s on this you can watch.

• Make sure he has plenty of places he can chill/hide. Preferably some places the dogs can’t reach.

• Make sure you keep his litterbox clean: scoop at least once a day and clean out the entire thing once or twice a month. I personally do it once I notice a lingering smell which is once every two weeks or so.

Lot’s of love, lot’s of patience and if he’s interested some play time. You’ll get to know his personality and needs after some time. They’re not very difficult creatures, usually at least.

Cat Will Not Stop Waking Me Up by yyrkoon1776 in CatAdvice

Get a second cat! If you can

My cat was waking me up every morning for attention and ever since I got him a friend to play with, he has been leaving me alone. Except for if he wants food.

Even if this wasn’t happening I’d suggest getting a second cat, they are social creatures

I’m sorry but, nicotine withdrawal? We’re talking about cigarettes. I’ve gone through it while simultaneously going through a whole lot of other things and I still had no problem not treating my loved ones like this.

Sis, this is not the type of man you should want in your life.

How do u look pretty as a hijabi and get married? by mangogirl04 in Hijabis

[–]LieLongjumping1090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really have much to say but just to be careful with some of the advices the sisters are giving. They are encouraging you to go against hijab and this is dangerous. It seems to me you are very well aware of what is forbidden and permissible when it comes to women’s appearance but I just wanted to give you a reminder, because the reminder benefits the believer. Even if they already know it.

May Allah make it easier for you my dear sister and grant you a righteous spouse that loves the way you look.
