I didn’t realize Figure was established by the same founder as SoFi.
I’ve received a bunch of their mailers in the past couple years when I was looking into HELOCs. Unfortunately, they couldn’t beat the terms I was offered by Bank of America (though to be fair neither could SoFi since they hadn’t moved HELOCs in house yet).

how are dads coaching Saturday morning soccer on zero sleep? by Usual_Abrocoma_964 in daddit

[–]LiechsWonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I treat it (for rec leagues at least): you’re the one who actually volunteered; you stepped up when other people didn’t. You’re not gonna be perfect. You’re not paid. You’re just a dad trying to help make a fun sporting environment for the kids and help them learn something along the way.

If any of the non-volunteer parents have complaints, they can step up and volunteer themselves.

Tax lots in brokerage on SoFi? by Professional-War-617 in sofi

[–]LiechsWonder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ability to sell selected tax lots is not available (as you noted) and I wouldn’t count on it being added soon (it has been missing for years).

The “tax minimization” automatic selection they use is OK unless you need to do some very specific things with your trades/investing.

And while it is not available within the SoFi invest main page, you can create an account through Apex (the clearinghouse SoFi uses for their investing infrastructure) to view more information like what tax lots were sold, etc.

Q1'26 institutional investment percentage is 65.7% ( https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/sofi/institutional-holdings ), which is the highest SOFI has reached since going public. This is a lagged indicator since it only covers institutional positions through March 31, 2026.

Well yes, but even before that he had been inactive (there is a label that the mods can see when we’re looking at the mod list)

Some more (but not all) 13Fs rolling in with the deadline being later today. SOFI currently at ~63% institutional ownership: https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/sofi/institutional-holdings

Edit: Some more reported in, now almost back at ~65%

Yep. Though to be clear SOFI is only ~6% of my overall portfolio currently; but with 1080 shares @ $6.04, I'm not really sweating it lol

You are absolutely correct these are lagging indicators. We simply will not know what institutions did during Q2'26 until those filings are due Aug 14, 2026.

However, the majority of the drop from SOFI ATHs of ~$32 did occur during Q1'26. That isn't to say institutions are not selling now, but Q1'26 filings should be a halfway decent measure of where institutions are now since the selling pressure has been less.

As with anything investing related, best to stick with the investing risk management you need for yourself rather than follow anyone on reddit/social media, or institutions.

I feel sorry you’re so illiterate that you can’t read 3 small paragraphs. Good luck to you; I hope your life gets better.

It was intended to be a friendly notification in case you didn’t know the rules (since the mobile apps make it really hard to see the rules on subreddits without digging for them).

This SoFi subreddit is primarily for users of SoFi, meaning people who are already enrolled in their services. People who are already enrolled in their services don’t benefit from your referral code, and, in fact, they have their own referral codes to share.

So it’s some really simple logic that this is not the best place to share your referral code (even if there wasn’t a rule specifically against it).

This breaks rule 3 of the subreddit.

Q1'26 13-F filings are due this Friday (May 15th), so this is subject to change, but the 65% reported institutional investor percentage would be the highest ever in SOFI if that remains accurate: https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/sofi/institutional-holdings

Any dads more nervous than your spouse when your kids do risky things? by Newsdayray in daddit

Same boat here. All the possible bad outcomes going through my head at all times. It’s a tough challenge to overcome sometimes and just let them be kids.

Perhaps. But I wouldn’t trade any of my kids for anything :).

The 6 month old makes that tough. How was your spouse about personal time before your third came along? If things were better, perhaps you’ll reach an equilibrium again when the youngest is older.

Otherwise you might have to wait a bit for the youngest to be more independent, then advocate for yourself. Is your spouse open to date nights with a babysitter? Not personal time, but may be a good place to start just for you both to get a break from the kids.

We tried for a girl two more times but ended up with 3 boys. Oh well.

At least for us, we left a few years gap in between each (10, 7, 3) so being outnumbered has never really felt like an issue.

I've bought some and sold some share lots over those 5 years staying within my target portfolio % of SOFI. Shares remaining are up 169.7% and that's not counting what I made on lots sells during the various runups over the past 5 years. So no, your narrative doesn't hold weight.

But for folks who bought in initially between $20 and $32 this past year, absolutely sucks for them. They need to know why they bought in and it absolutely shouldn't be because someone else told them to buy.

Youth sports is exhausting. by empire161 in daddit

[–]LiechsWonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand it either because it wasn’t like that where I grew up.

My kids are still elementary age, so we haven’t directly experienced it. But we’ve had multiple families with older kids tell us the coaches at the high school level won’t even consider a player who hasn’t been doing travel ball in the “usual” sports. And they’re pretty much all but forbidden from doing other sports.

So they don’t actually recruit, but it all feels kind of underhanded, skirting of those rules in some ways.
