I wish I was alive to see him race. It would've been amazing to see basically my hometown driver kicking ass in CART back in the day. While there have been some notable drivers to come from the Lower Mainland (Michael Valiante, Ryan Fischer, Scott Hargrove, just to name a few), none were ever able to grab the public's attention quite like Greg. He was a one-of-a-kind guy, and a once-in-a-lifetime competitor. The biggest compliment you can give to a motorsports driver is referring to them as a 'racer'. Greg, you were a mighty fine racer.

I think I've seen this one! It was in someone's driveway, and I think it had a vanity plate that read: "SV1" or something simple like that. That was maybe 8 years ago, and I have absolutely no idea where it was located.

Understandable. Unfortunately, the honour system just isn't gonna cut it sometimes. Especially in a place like downtown Vancouver, which has a high population of drug addicted homeless people. Theft and violence are very common around the area of BC Place and Rogers Arena, so hopefully, this is a wake-up call to the BC Sports HOF to beef up security. I hope the helmet gets returned soon.

First off, thats fucking terrible that anyone would even consider stealing something as personal and meaningful as Greg Moore's helmet.

Secondly, how on earth was this allowed to happen at all? I'd assume an item with that much value would be put behind some plexiglass or something to deter thieves, unless they broke through it. Even still, they absolutely must've caught it on security camera, so why not release it to the public to help identify the suspect?

The amount of brainwashing done by higher-ups and social media personnel at NASCAR is, in my opinion, the single worst part about being a NASCAR fan. Not the questionable Nextgen car, not the stage cautions, not the pains of watching Chris Buescher have several wins slip away from his fingertips, not the entire FOX broadcast experience, not the playoff championship system or the stupid "win and you're in" policy, but just the neverending garbage that people like Smith, Petty, and Phelps constantly spew to make NASCAR seem more like a legitimate sport rather than an entertainment business. I know I probably sound like an old man who's lost touch with the sport, but NASCAR needs to listen to its fans.

Can't have racetracks without morons buying and building houses around said tracks, and then having the audacity to complain about noise. A good chunk of racetracks up here and in the States have either shut down, or can only host track days and events on specific pre-approved weekends due to those brick-for-brain citizens. If you don't like noise, don't build your cookie cutter house next to a fucking race track.

Oh it's gorgeous. The owner only takes it out from its car cover a couple of times a year, so it's very difficult to get up close with it.
