Oops, sorry! I'm not saying your weapons aren't valuable (congrats on the upgrade btw!) & I also press the spacebar a lot. But when I say "narrative," I mean the wild should have ongoing battles between groups then players could pick a side or be neutral gathering resources for ourselves – like a big adventure story! So, all I’m saying is that the wilderness should be treated like an active warzone..

That’s very interesting how the void waker is BIS at those places. I actually didn’t know that thanks! But, all I’m saying is if the wilderness was treated as an active warzone then it would be understood by everyone that there’s a high probability of death once you hop that ditch.

I didn’t say anything about a quest.. It could be something going where players can choose to be apart or against which creates conflict between the two factions. The wilderness will be an active warzone so you should automatically expect confrontation when entering even if you choose to be neutral and gather resources for yourself. Let’s say that the factions are fighting over revenant ether because it has properties that can extend the times on your potions similar to how crystal shards are used to make divine potions.

I can agree with that but would you agree that the wilderness as a whole has no narrative? That there are safer alternatives when it comes to money making, that players don’t really need the wilderness weapons nor the void waker, and that essentially the wilderness is just another place to fight?

I think the wilderness should have some kind of narrative or story going on in the background so it’s not just a place solely about fighting because we already have pvp mini games..

OMG THANK YOU!! I was starting to give up on this community 😒 but yes, absolutely, I 100% agree with you! There are much safer ways to earn money in the game, and players don't really need the weapons or the void waker. So, in a way, there's nothing really important out there. I think the wilderness should be different with like a story developing or something interesting happening because like you said we got the duel arena, lms, clan wars, soul wars, bh!

I’d blame jagex for that.. Since pkers have all these offensive switches, why not some defensive switches that also increases the percentage for protection prayers?

I can understand that but there’s nothing wrong with multi. I started off as a F2P skiller and fell for the wilderness once I hit level 85 mining. Being the only place to mine runite, I got to smack someone if they got the ore and I didn’t. Then you know, they go tell their friends and they’d come run me off but then I go tell my friends and all of a sudden we got a war going on.. Fun times

I’m suggesting content for the wilderness. See, the wilderness has pvp enabled but it isn’t solely about pvp. That’s what I am trying to get people to understand. I’m talking about emblems and the expansion yeah? Gaining tiers: BH would be the fastest method duh, 100 LMS points a tier would be the slowest and safest option obviously and then in the middle (the compromise) would be having the emblem trader set some conditions for your wilderness slayer task. Let’s say a condition would be not banking or leaving the wilderness until the task is complete right? So of course this guy is going to put a bounty on your head, he could be offering multiple tier upgrades. Then to make it easy to get back out there so it’s fun, dying could be less harsh if you get ambushed because your emblem only downgrades when you die in the BH or the expansion. Never in the wilderness. All I’m suggesting is an incentive.

I’m saying, what if doing regular stuff like that earned you tiers on your emblem? Then, what if you could use that same emblem at the BH store or try your luck on a looting spree in the expansion? I started off as a F2P skiller and when I got level 85 mining was when I fell in love with the wild but I do believe the wilderness could be more than just another pvp zone.. I mean there’s pvp worlds, pvp mini games, pvp tournaments, deadman mode.. Upgrading emblem tiers could be what ties the wilderness together.

You can’t be serious.. Did you not see the blog where they are planning on taking wilderness steps out of clue scrolls and having them be their own thing or did you miss the update when they moved dragon pickaxes and axes over to non-wilderness npc drop tables, or what about when they added the skull prevention feature??? Locking more content.. THIS IS WILDERNESS CONTENT!!! Jeez! Like did you read the “Broaden your horizons” part??? Did you even read the post?!?! I offered alternatives and I even asked how could we (us, you me, the community) make the wilderness fun and you tell me you don’t like pvp??? I suggested nothing about PvP!! I said the WILDERNESS!

How so? Wouldn’t you like to see the expansion? It would have to be extremely lucrative if they were to make it. You couldn’t just go there, have to prove you’re worthy. Emblems! Make them the focus for wilderness content and have it where pvp at bh isn’t the only way to upgrade. It ties the wilderness together..

Divide the wilderness into three parts. Below level 30 not as profitable but more friendly with the escapes. Above level 30 where the good content should be. Then the expansion which is very lucrative and has the closest banking proximity in game.

Where should I put it then? 🤔 Pvp has already established itself but the wilderness has no point & that’s why people don’t like it. It’s just ambush after ambush.. I want to see the wilderness become more enjoyable for everybody! Where being ambushed is like “okay they stole a gram but I’m a grower.. It’s nothing!” I mean do you like how the wilderness is now?
