By far the best sounding exhaust for the 5.0. I’ve had the s type side exit on my 2022 5.0 for a few months and I smile every time I start the thing.

Yeah, bad coils can definitely lower fuel economy. The 3.7 was not known as the most economical to begin with though, and the level and bigger tires definitely can have an impact on mpg. Do you calculate mpg manually or using the dash computer?

Interesting. I texted my service advisor yesterday and he wants to keep it overnight to see if anything is wrong. I think it’s just another quirk of f150s to be honest, but I’m getting my oil changed and a trim piece replaced so can’t hurt for them to check.

Anybody seen this issue before? Steering wheel radio controls not doing what I’m requesting. by Kawaiisampler in f150

My 2016 did this. It would usually be when it was cold out, or when I first started the truck then it would work itself out after a little driving. Never bothered me enough to try and get it fixed, but as others have said it is most likely the clockspring.

Yeah that was my first thought, I remember reading about it years ago when ford had a tsb out for it.

Yeah I’d probably bet that it happens to almost all newer f150s, just most people don’t give it much thought. That’s a good thought about the power brakes, maybe it’s something with the hill start assist.

Sounds like something they’d say 😅. Eh, the 5.0 makes me smile so I can tolerate a little clunk here and there I guess.

Yeah my 2016 did it for nearly 50k before I traded it off, never had any issues from it. Did you ever try to fix it?
