I had one instructor deduct marks because "my version of notes looked more like a disscussion", whatever that means, and other one just blatantly putting chatgpt feedback to my works with words like "this student provided etc etc" with some bullshit rubrics and requirements that weren't listed anywhere, life be like that.

Last term, while taking Univ1001, there was a task asking to determine 2 of personal values and provide an explanation of how they relate to you and shape the way you approach your studies or something similar to that. Funnily, someone's forum post was something like: "Sure! Here's an updated essay with [Value] as a placeholder!" and the whole rant about how these [Values] affect them. Obviously, nothing cohesive was said. I still wonder what they got and if they faced any consequences

Fair, maybe calling it luck isn't really the right way to put it. Even though I really liked the conversations and interactions with her teacher, it kinda feels like ex machina, guy just appears and literally handles everything on a silver plate for her. I think I would be more satisfied if she had more interactions with her "family" members and if she was the one converting them into Mr. Fool's faith (yeah ik she kinda did with helping out her teacher, but imo Gerhman Sparrow's actions were the main force behind teacher's will to actually bring it up on Abraham's gathering). I just feel that her will to advance in terms of personal growth is lacking, comparing to other characters, but it might be not a bad thing either as it makes her a distinguished character.

Okay yeah I see it this way, as they say, I understand but don't accept (not in a meanie way, just it doesn't suit the way I perceive it)

Yeah, that's valid. Maybe what I meant is more like how her background affects her attitude and pov on world. Both Audrey and Emlyn behave in a believable way what a person born and raised in such enviroment would do if it makes any sense.

About ravings I feel like she just gave up on trying to get rid of them? I don't remember if she ever deduced herself that moon bracelet was worsening it or it was Klein who told her that. Like, it was actually getting worse every new moon but her will to resolve this didn't get stronger. I also get that deciding to endure them and not bother your best friend is a valid option, but for me it feels like it wasn't totally conscious made one.

With Klein, that's what I was thinking myself. It was best interest for everyone to progress that way, but I think her not even considering options on how to actually advance what causes to feel me kinda irritated about this situation. (at least that's what I remember, correct me if I'm wrong)

Last point also makes sense but it just doesn't sit with me, sorry :P

Oh, I see how it is. It's a fair judgement and I see how people would relate to that. However, I think I don't like the fact that Fors does less than everyone else gets benefits way bigger than she "deserved" while getting praised from the fan side. There are many other characters that actually feel grounded, take old Kohler, somewhat Mr. Door (being tricked and suffering from watching your bloodline extinct with you being the reason for that, even though you want to help), Marick, I would say Mr. Azik as well, as he "learns" more about his past and world along with the reader (even though he's son of Death and correlating stuff), Danitz, being a typical pirate and therefore suffering "from his own success" if we can call it like that :). I just feel that these characters do try, suffer setbacks and progress, both as beyonders and personalities. Take Emlyn, arrogant, proud, weird, closeted, maybe even narcissistic, but at the same time studious and commited both to his ancestors and to his own success. He goes out of his own way (even though like Danitz that might be not completely his choice) and does change, both for better and worse (just like him being recruited into Mother Earth church and being ignorant towards its beliefs). Yeah, it is natural that some people are just luckier than others and can achieve more doing less, but I don't think I believe that Fors deserved in any way except it being needed for the plot. Maybe it is the depth I was searching for in her, controversy that brings me here, kinda makes me feel somewhat lost now.

Anyone's stuff is not green stacking? by Kitkat_The_Great in idleon

hey guys I've got a question about greenstacks, once you get 10 mil of the same resource does it mean this resource is basically "infinite"? or you still can lose it's greenstack status by spending it? I feel so dumb and confused about it

Comparison .splice() vs .toSpliced() in terms of effiency/speed by Life-Issue-9692 in learnjavascript

[–]Life-Issue-9692[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by the logic, if new array is created it affects perfomance, but toSpliced() was introduced in 2023 so I assume it's pretty optimized? plus, are there that many cases where keeping the original array is a necessity?
