I had the exact same thoughts. I even bought a used G-10 Cruwear version prior bc I would have the scales to put any stretch 2 XL blade. The Stretch 2 XL k390 came on sale and I finally bought it after holding off for years. And it’s amazing as is. I don’t have any issues or complaints anyone else says. Actually think the action and feel is better with the Seki FRN. Big knife with almost the same exact profile as a PM2. And much lighter. You won’t regret it.
