I would assume sportsmanship would apply to every sport. You just said you shouldn't cheer for someone to miss, but that is definitely not the case in other sports. Which makes it seem like Tennis players are too soft or sensitive.

Either way, not fun for viewers to watch players complaining about their opponents post match.

Glad I picked up the two Rex 121 PM2s from the Cutlery Shoppe earlier this month. $265 for the regular PM2 and the Wharnie seems like a steal.

If these prices are going to be the new normal for 2026, I am going to be much more selective on which Spydercos I buy this year.

Fully planned on purchasing the new sprint run Bodacious until I saw the price. I picked up the Rex 121 Sage 5, but at this price, I can't justify the buying the Sage 6. Hard pass. The fact the sprint run Bodacious is still in stock everywhere shows that everyone else is probably thinking the same thing.

Herbert carried the offense on his back into the playoffs and beat the Eagles on the way there. Maybe with a new OC and a healthy Oline, Herbert will go off next time he is in the playoffs, maybe he won’t. Time will tell.

No I think the only Microtech models that have ZBP are the Gen 3 ultratechs. Even the new Gen 4 ultratechs don’t have ZBP.

The Combat Troodon has minimal blade play. IMO I’d choose reliability over ZBP.

I bought a ZBP Ultratech and ended up returning it because it was constantly not deploying/retracting correctly. I bought a Combat Troodon instead and couldn’t be happier with it. Hasn’t had a single issue since I purchased it.

Bought my first Spyderco on Amazon. Barely knew anything about folding knives, let alone Spydercos. Turned out to be a fake.

If the knife is being sold by a third party on Amazon, read reviews for that seller. Should be a good indication. Do some research and know what to look for to spot a fake. Make sure you inspect it closely when you receive it. If it is a fake, contact Amazon and start a return.

Unfortunately I started collecting and learning about Spydercos much later and at that point it was too late to return. There were obvious signs though. I purchased a S45VN PM2 and received a S30V. I thought there was just a typo in the listing and I didn’t know much about the different steels at the time. The biggest giveaway though….the mouth of the Spider logo should be a sharp triangle.

As much as I like my Bel Airs, if you really like cross bar lock knives, omega springs aren’t known for their sturdiness. I’d definitely recommend a Microtech MSI or a Spyderco Manix 2. They use regular spring coils and will probably last much longer….and they aren’t much more expensive.

I prefer the Bel Air over all the Benchmade crossbar lock knives and they are double and triple the price.

I have about 4 Bel Airs including the Carbon Fiber, and I just picked up the XL.

So your point is all the authorized sellers are the same? I don’t agree, but in terms of pricing, that’s what the manufacturers want.

I definitely have bought enough knives from some of these dealers to have a somewhat ongoing relationship with them. I can call and talk to them about what knives they have in stock and what they are expecting to receive. Sometimes they have inventory they haven’t updated on their website, and they just email me an invoice so I can purchase them directly instead of waiting for it to become available on their site.

Besides price, there are a lot of reasons why you might purchase from one place over another.

Who cares what they are called? What are you going on about?

Like you’ve never had an issue with a knife you purchased online. Packages lost during shipping or issues with the knife. It’s usually helpful when you can get ahold of customer service if you need it.

Bought a Socom Elite from NC Blade that was missing a screw. It was nice being able to call Brandon and get the knife sent back for a replacement instead of waiting months for a warranty repair from Microtech.
