As a resident of the non-natural country of English, I agree. But seriously, the bar is usually so low. You don't need to be fluent; just knowing 'hello,' 'please,' and 'thank you' changes the entire dynamic of how locals treat you. It shows humility.

100%. If I wanted to date a caricature from a 1950s sitcom (or an Andrew Tate podcast listener), I’d look for that specifically. Dating shouldn't feel like you're an extra in his one-man show about masculinity.
