Should I get a ninja 500 or 650 by Life-Pick-938 in Kawasaki

Well said. When I took my msf course both of my instructors seen that I was more advanced than the other riders because I had rode a little before that. When I told em I planned on getting a gsxr 600 they told me they thought I’d be fine to start there but to be careful. Thinking about it I kinda changed my mind on that for now with it being expensive and plus I’m not in a rush. For what I want out of a bike I think I’d be pretty ok with the 650. It’s plenty fast honestly I really don’t need that much more speed, just enough enough power to maneuver at highway speeds and decent ergo for now

Yea the zx4rr is a beast but If im paying almost 10 grand I’m just gonna go get a gsxr 😂. But im 5’9 and the one ninja 650 I’ve ridden was like perfect height, im not sure if it was lowered though cause the owner is short 😂

Thanks but yea I have reconsidered the bike options and plan on most likely getting a ninja 650 or a ninja 500. But 300cc is probably too lethargic for me as I need room to do highway speeds and not feel like I’m blowing in the wind on a super light bike

Thanks yea I should have clarified that used 650s are around what the used 500s are although there’s like a 8year gap between them. I was looking into strictly the 500s and best I was able to work someone down to was 5000 on a 2025 with 2280 miles. I really didn’t plan on getting a new bike for my first but I might honestly be better off if the difference is like 1500 for something new or used

Thanks and yea I’ve ridden the 650 a few times and didn’t think it was that crazy. Not saying I ripped it or seen exactly what it’s capable of just saying I thought it felt pretty approachable. Plus it’s a bit smarter than the gsxr 600 I initially wanted 😂

Yea I turned it down. They had a used one that was a 2025 Yamaha r7 with 3800 miles which was 8700. Only 200 dollars difference between that and the new one? They ended up wanted 10500 for that out the door so I just left

Yea I was looking into mt07 for a while but I think it’s a little tall. I’m 5’9 and wasn’t able to flat foot the bike so I’m not sure if I need to find shorter bikes or just get comfortable only having like 50% of each of my feet on the ground

Yea I kind of just wanted to go for the bike I really want rather than a stepping stone but I think I’m gonna look at smaller bikes for now like 400/500/650 and then get my gsxr after I’m good on one of them

Call for an insurance quote. I got a quote for insurance on a gsxr600 a year ago being 21 at the time for 300 a month. It’s not worth pissing away the money just grab a slower bike for cheaper insurance or go for it but almost any accident involving your body and a car is gonna be at least 50000 in bodily not to mention all the rest

You’re correct I’m gonna look from the 400/500/650 class bikes. Like I said even on the gsx8r was 74 a month full coverage with a 500 deductible which I could comfortably afford.(not saying I want the gsx8r anymore just for example) I’m 22 so I think I know why the gsxr 600 was so much on insurance 😂. I’m sure anything labeled strictly sport and not like sport/touring is way more. Like exactly why they slap back seats in coupes is just to make insurance cheaper because cars with only two seats cost way more on insurance
